Car Livery Not Showing Up and File Question

Featured Replies

I downloaded the Valor car pack and added the Buffalo to my LSPDFR; however, the police livery/decals are not showing up on the car. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

The second issue/question I had was, can I rename a car's files to make it from sheriff 2 to sheriff 4, and it will still function? That way, I would have an open slot to add another vehicle. Also, if that works, up until what number does it work? For example, does it go all the way up to sheriff 10 or 100 or etc.

Thanks for any help.

Can you open the texture dictionary and show me the list of liveries you have installed?

As long as a base file exists for this vehicle, it shouldn't be an issue.

That is just the file. I want you to open the texture dictionary file and screenshot the inside of it that lists the liveries.

also what do you mean by base game files?

As long as there is a base vehicle already existing that you want to replace, it should work fine.

I could be wrong but I believe that 18charger needs to be called 18charger_sign_1 and any additional for that vehicle need to be called the same but just with the number ascending like:
18charger_sign_1
18charger_sign_2
18charger_sign_3

And so on.

Try that out.

Wait, so the picture I sent you that one has to be renamed "18charger_sign_1" and then the one after that is the air freshener, as you can see in the image, that would be "18charger_sign_2" and so forth and so on until the end of the texture dictionary file? Cause some of the names make sense in the file, like the air freshener, gloves, gunrack, handbook, etc?

EDIT: I changed the first one to
18charger_sign_1 like you said btw and there was no effect

No. Just the top highlighted one since that is the livery for the vehicle. I'm saying that if you add additional liveries to it, that is what you would name them.

Hi there,

So for this 2018 Dodge Charger model, it uses Matthew Parelta's base which Ripple did provide the correct template in the download from what I can see but he made a mistake by not removing the default Livery_chrg_sign_1 from the YTD.

Please go ahead and remove the blank Livery_chrg_sign_1 then rename 18charger to Livery_chrg_sign_1, if you want to add further liveries go ahead and add it to the YTD then add a _2 and so on. (Ex: Livery_chrg_sign_2, Livery_chrg_sign_3)

Base Model Creators recommend only putting a 1024px livery in the regular YTD and recreating a +hi ytd to add the 4k variant, this helps with rendering a 4k texture at all times in the game, this will help greatly with performance. While I'm not familiar with how SP works, I know in FiveM 4k liveries in a regular YTD will just get compressed down anyways.
