hello. i just started LSPDFR. i did fresh downloads of the game and all mods following Geoffrey's tutorials. everything went well until part 3. after part 2 i loaded the game and everything was going good. after i watched part 3 the game gets all the way to the final loading screen, then crashes.

Rename mods to _mods and retry.

the main mods folder in GTAV folder? it seems odd to do. its worked through the part 1-2 with it being named mods. but ill give it a go

also try watching blueline vibes or gaming 4 life lspdfr tutorials they are more recent

ill be honest. i watched 3 different channels. and Geoffrey's were the easiest to understand. also there wasn't anything he showed that could possibly be not updated. everything was updated and the installs were easy. the issue came when i downloaded and installed everything from his part 3 video which goes into ELS, Custom Vehicles, script hook V, and simple trainer.

 

if it was something with the folder i feel that would have been an issue from the start. once again i'm veery new to this so i followed step by step tutorials yesterday for 5+ hours. the only time GTA stopped loading was after part 3 of the tutorial. it gets all the way to the final loading screen and right before it loads me into the map it crashes.

That's simply wrong. Please do let me know what happens when you rename that mods folder. If it works, something inside of it is causing your game to crash. If it still doesn't work we'll have to dig deeper.

the crash log is above. i was told that would tell support what was causing the crash. but nobody ive sent it to has refered to it.

So the only things you installed were custom vehicles and els?

maybe one of your custom vehicles were installed wrong also make sure you have a custom gameconfig

The only thing the log is telling me is that your game crashed before you loaded in fully.

I do know that without a gameconfig and adding custom vehicles it will crash on the loading screen

Did renaming the mods folder to _mods work?

upload your rockstar log you can find it in Documents-> Rockstar Game -> Launcher 

renaming mods worked. it now loads up fine

Ensure you installed a gameconfig as well as a heap adjuster and a packfile limit adjuster.
Then rename _mods back to mods.
Report back once you have installed all three and tried launching the game.

Double-check if you placed the two adjusters in your main directory and not a subfolder by accident.
If you're 100% sure all three things are installed correctly and it still won't work with mods enabled, you'll have to redo recent changes made to the mods folder. If you can't remember what you added lately, you'll have to make a new mods folder.
