RPH issue. Launching game

Featured Replies

RPH will not connect to GTA5.

This is what I've done to try to combat it:

1: Verified Steam files

2: Reinstalled LSPDFR for GTA5 Steam.

After the issue reappeared:

3: Uninstalled GTA5 Steam version

4: Installed GTA5 Epic version

5: Installed LSPDFR for GTA5 Epic

After the issue reappeared once again:

6: Verified Epic files

7: Loaded GTA5 then RPH

8: Opened RPH As administrator.

I've tried everything I can think of, and I've come to the conclusion that it's most likely the mod itself. It's not just me with the issue. Discord communities are also reporting the same issue. Any fixes would be appreciated.

Didn't work My game is the current version. Even launching with custom arguments (Steam) doesn't fix it. It's not just me reporting this issue, which is why the devs need to stop lying to us and

Can you do me a solid. Right click on RPH in your GTAV and run widows defender on the file and let me know what it says? Im popping up with a virus on that particular file.

RagePluginHook.exe is not a virus and appears as a false-positive, this is because it injects itself into GTA5.exe to run plugins which windows detects as a virus and rightfully so because this is a way many viruses run.

If you have any antivirus, try excluding the whole gta 5 folder from being detected by it, and try going to the GTAV folder properties, and tick off read-only if it's on, and apply attributes to all subfolders, sometimes this is the issue and it fixed it for me before.

It didn't fix the issue. It's clearly the mod itself. What annoys me is that the dev team are pretending that everything is working fine, when literally nobody is able to play with the mod. They know about this issue and it doesn't seem like they're going to release a hotfix for it

it's your problem mate it's working fine for everyone else...

there is no big issue or outage, and this is one of the bugs that not many people have in general

im not exactly sure whats causing this bug and everything that couldve fixed it that i know of didnt, and i have no other information other than the bug so im not sure i can help

What does the error message say when it fails to connect? does it just close out?

they cant fix it if they dont know what the problem is

There is no issue with RPH/LSPDFR. So there is no point going down that route.

@MarioExpertMan I want you to launch normal GTA V first. Then tab out and launch RagePluginHook once you are fully in story mode.

Help us to help you!

You are correct. I discovered that after i posted and didnt get the chance to edit the post. My game is working correct as of now. I just have to shut off windows defender in order to get it to run.

Going into story mode and then loading rage doesn't work either.

Also when I'm loading Rage through the directory, I'm getting Error code 134 within the Rockstar launcher. Steam has this problem too so it's not isolated to Epic

Could contain: text, graphic design, screenshot, fiction, cartoon, animated cartoon, flyer, animation, graphics, anime

Could contain: text, clothing, musical instrument, man, person, weapon, outdoor, guitar

Are you loading fully into the game to where you can move around?

Yeah so I fully load into the game, then click on Rage, It does load, but only to Launching Game... and just gets stuck there.

i think i know the issue

are you launching rage before launching gta? if not you need to do that so that rage can hook the game..

when you launch rage plugin hook wait for it to finish loading things then launch gta then it should work

Add the Main Directory to the exceptions list for your anti-virus. After that is done, re-install manual LSPDFR and restart the PC. Then try launching normal GTA V first and then once fully in story mode, tab out and launch RPH.

This is not necessarily true. While you can launch RPH first, you can also launch the game first and then RPH and that does fix some issues with people. However, in this case, neither of those are the solution.
