My edited ped texture is orange but the hair is colored

How is the characters skin in game? That is normal inside OpenIV especailly if you have add-on items. This is a photo from Hanako's clothing pack it shows up orange in OpenIV but has full color in game.

    But once i select the ped in-game it crashes

    Oh my bad. I thought I said which. You can find the log in the Main Directory. It is a txt file called either RagePluginHook or RagePluginHook.log. It is NOT in the Logs folder.

    I don't have RagePluginHook or RagePluginHook.log any solutions is this what causes the game to crash when i select my edited ped?
