Debate on keeping consoles

Featured Replies

I currently own two consoles, as well as my built PC. I have a PS3 (MGS4 Kojima Edition which was gunmetal gray) and an Xbox360 (Modern Warfare 2 TF-141 Edition), but ever since I built my PC a year ago I've spent most of my gaming time on here. I even sold GTA4 EFLC, Fallout 3 and Fallout NV for the Xbox so I could buy the PC editions, and the experience on all three are much better on PC. The last time I can honestly remember using either of my consoles is for Last.FM music while ironing my uniform. Every time I sit down to play a game on either console, I get bored within 15 minutes. However I can play on my PC and hours go by quickly. I'm also about to drop some money in upgrading to a GTX-680 2GB card and adding about another 8GB of RAM, possibly replacing my 500GB storage drive with a 1TB as well since I have a 64GB SSD for Windows only.

Sure I could sell them if I'm not using them, but there might be downsides to that. I know some of you are hardcore gamers and I'd like your opinion on this matter.

with the ps4 and new xbox this year it stands to prove that pc is better(the new consoles are just pc's anyway)  i could have spent 60 bucks on cod mw3 for my 360 but i got it for pc for less and its much better with mouse and keyboard

80% of all my console games i want to play i have on pc  with the exceptions of halo wwe 13 and some others

keep a console for those rare games halo ect.. otherwise pc for the rest

Only reason I've still got my 360 is for GTA V. As I grew up, I played it less and less until the point where its just collecting dust.

The only reason I would keep the PS3 is for the MGS series... I've been a fan ever since MGS came out in 1998. Since then I've played all of the games dating back to Metal Gear. However I've played them all numerous times and the last time I played one of them was when they re-released 2 and 3 for PS3. As for the Xbox, the only games that I'd possibly miss are the Halo and Forza series, and I've grown tired of those.

I want to get one just to play RDR since it was never released on PC (Why NOT dammit!).  But one game is not enough to drop the $200 for a console, GTAV might push me to a (used) PS3 though.  We'll see...

Good day,
