GTA V & RPH Crash whenever I attempt to load Story Mode.

Hello, I am here yet again, needing a bit of assistance.

Today, about an hour or so ago now, I installed this:

I installed it as I usually do with DLC Packs, which is the common way that everyone who knows how to install DLC Packs typically installs them, and immediately after doing so and attempting to Launch my game, it began crashing on startup. It is worth noting that I did make a seemingly small error and I believe I mistakenly swapped the wrong vehicles.meta into the wrong location, I have remedied this I believe by using a backup, however I am still encountering the same issue. Other steps I have taken include File Integrity Check (all Files did verify sucessfully), ensuring outside mods needed to using DLC Cars were installed and Up to date (Heap/Packfile Adjuster, New Gameconfig) getting rid of some of my unused Addons in dlcpacks, and, attempting to launch GTA V on its own without RPH, which still resulted in a crash when trying to load Story mode, I am not sure if I somehow corrupted something to the point of a complete reinstall which would REALLY suck, but I am to the point where I don't know and I'm a bit tired of troubleshooting it.

The log is attached:RagePluginHook_26102023_010902.log though I'm not sure how much information in it is actually useful, because it did not provide any useful details to me. if anything else is needed, please feel free to let me know and hopefully I can get this resolved, thank you in advance.

EDIT: Upon further inspection, I have been able to determine there is an issue within the Mods Folder itself, as the game loads fine if the folder is renamed to _mods, this is a step I had forgotten to take within my first "checklist" steps, I will investigate further, kind of sucks because this means I will have to rebuild it which will take hours, as well as recreate a few Custom Liveries I have, but it's better than reinstalling I suppose.

1. If you installed multiple addon cars you should make sure you have the gameconfig installed properly (it should not say encrypted next to the file in openiv, and make sure its installed in `Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\`)
2. If you made custom liveries you can always extract them before restarting the mods folder
3. In the future only install one thing at a time and this ensures you know exactly what is causing the issue and you won't have to restart the mods folder completely if you start crashing.

Hello, thank you for the reply, I should have mentioned that this was the only Addon I have installed in a couple of months. No other Addons or Mods requiring me to use OIV were installed today, the only other thing I did when I played earlier was Update my mods because I hadn't been able to play for about 3 weeks due to work. I played earlier for about an hour and everything was normal.

As for the rebuilding, I have backed up my previous Mods Folder version. and I am currently slowly rebuilding a new one, thankfully I was able to easily back up my custom Vest Textures, which would have actually taken a very long time to remake, so that is certainly a plus, making car Liveries is much less time consuming than Vest Textures, at least for me.

So far it's working, I am reinstalling things slowly 1 by 1, checking, then installing more items. Maybe installing that Car Pack corrupted my Mods folder because of it's size, I'm not sure.

I think he replied with a pretty solid response - Good possibility that your Gameconfig will need to be updated. WIth an addon like you have, a new Gameconfig for GTA version 3028 will be needed no doubt.

TIP:
The  Gameconfig on GTA 5 mods site is not currently in date.   However, if you want to download NVE (Natural Vision Evolved) pretty sure even the free version is updated for 3028, it would be a great place to find a working gameconfig.

NVE has a "Optional Addon Folder - Gameconfig for addon vehicles" that is updated for 3028.   Now my question to you is ....... is it worth downloading an 8 gigabyte graphics mod just to grab a 90kb file?    That there, is the Question of the day.  No need to install NVE, just that 90kb Gameconfig OIV file that 99% of LSPDFR players are not even aware of 😆

Lot easier to just get PNWParks gameconfig which works great https://github.com/pnwparksfan/gameconfig/releases/latest

Hey guys, I really appreciate the responses, and I apologize for not responding in a timely manner(the Firearms Industry does NOT sleep lol). This thread will be marked as solved once I put this reply out, it turned out my assumptions ended up being correct and it was a simple corrupted Mods Folder, huge oversight on me for not testing that first when I went through my initial troubleshooting "Checklist".

As for the Gameconfig stuff, both did work, including the NVE one, which I used in my previous Mods Folder build, but with the rebuild I decided to go with the PNWParks Config, I did actually use NVE in my previous Build but this time around I left it out because the Free Version either didn't work or was just not much of an Improvement for me. So, with that said I finally have a bit of free time to play because I am back home, again the response are much appreciate from everyone here.

Especially cool to see you here Officer Benzo, keep pumping out those Videos and Tutorials, especially the tutorials, we all know plenty of the new guys need them and you are by far the best source for them along with CJ.

Thanks again guys!
