Make Gta 5 mods available to ps5/ps4 (here is why)

Featured Replies

The reason for that is because, gta 5 is way more fun with police mods. It’s not everyone that has the money to buy a gaming pc. Gta 5 has excellent graphics on consoles, so its sad to see no police mods on them. You can only play normal mode (director) wich sucks. I really hope y’all can make a consoles version. It would really make my day, and i am sure other too.

Sincerely andrew

have a good day

Your request should be addressed to both Rockstar Games and console manufacturers. Without console mod support by the Rockstar Games, any modding isn't possible.
With the sandboxes by console manufacturers on their console platforms, modding without/beyond title support isn't possible.

Only when at least one of these things has happened is it worth asking us.

Nope but i am trying

To be frank, that just isn't going to happen, not anytime soon at least.

Firstly, consoles are what is commonly referred to as a "Closed System" meaning to do Modifications to the extent that we Mod with things like LSPDFR on PC, you'd have to subvert the very well established and mostly well designed protections in place of these consoles to get any sort of morsel of hope of modding anything on a Console to the extent that we can PC.

Secondly, it costs money and is more time consuming for Developers to support Mods on a Console, when you think of things like Skyrim of FO4, those are special cases, because the Studio is willing to be in the time and effort to establish a Framework for Mod Developers, not many other Developers, especially in the Console space are as willing. To add to that point, it would affect the Console Distributers as well, it is likely that would have more cases of mishaps/RMA's costing the Company both time and Money.

Additionally, a large portion of the players on Console have no interest in Modding in the same sense that Playerbase on PC does. Most people who have a console, as cliché as it may sound, are generally more casual, get-home-and-relax type people, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, however, that kind of mindset is Incompatible with things like LSPDFR.

Without a Framework that is baked into the Game from R*, at a certain point, LSPDFR becomes an almost Constant Update, Troubleshoot, Repeat ordeal. Personally, it's not an issue for me, but it took a pretty long time for me to know how to solve most every issue I run into myself, and even I and others like me often overlook or forget the most basic steps of the Troubleshooting process, not many people want to deal with that sort of thing.

There you have it, is LSPDFR freakin' incredible? absolutely. But is it a relatively small, niche community in the PC Gaming Space? 110%. Maybe one day in the Future I'll eat my words, but as of right now this is where I stand. Cheers!
