I installed new cars and now my game crashes on the loading screen.

I recently installed a few new police cars, and when I enter everything is normal RPH shows the plugins loading etc, and then it randomly crashes, there is no crash report it just exits. Can anyone help me? Edit: it also crashes when I load up story mode.

Rename your mods folder to _mods and try launching the game that way to make sure it's a mod issue. A thing you could try is installing these 3 if you haven't already (1 2 3).

Weird because my game was working absolutely fine, installed a new car in fbi slot and suddenly my game crashes in the loading screen

 

when i undid what i replaced it with and put things how they were nothing changed, still crashes.

 

So its clearly an issue of some kind with openiv maybe?

I found deleting the ELS xml file the vehicle came with and replacing it with one I know works fixed the issue for me

 

in pack_default I had a file called rebel.xml, It was broken so deleted it, copy and pasted police.xml and then renamed the copy to rebel.xml and everythings now working fine

 

If your vehicle didn't come with an els file then I have no idea what to suggest but if it did you can find out exactly what file caused els to crash by checking the els log in the game directory, You can tell which xml file caused the crash because the log will be incomplete on that file.

you have probably seen others comments/figured it out yourself by now but install heap adjuster, packfile limiter and a new up to date addon game config as thats the problem with car crashes 99% of the time
