Hi,

 

Complete noob to PC gaming, as my last PC game was Doom 2(I'm old I know), and have been console forever.

 

I only bought this latest PC in order to play LSPDFR but I'm running into an issue even with just the base GTA V game.  My understanding is that there is no built in DualShock 4 support/recognition and I'm wondering how we can show Playstation icons during gameplay.

 

Has anyone figured this out?  I don't really have issues getting my DS4 to work, but the game is showing all Xbox icons which I find quite confusing(remember I'm old).

 

Any help is much appreciated and I'm looking forward to beginning my first shift!!

Ehrrr..
To play LSPDFR you need to be on a windows computer -win10 or 11 is preferred.
You should not see anything from X-box.
You should however see all PD-stations on the world-map (press-ESC, then mouse-click anywhere and all icons are shown in a selectable right-sidebar. Mouse-wheel zooms the map*), and also any PD close to your Player-character on the mini-map.
Visit youTube and see some basic videos for LSPDFR usage of hot-keys and map-graphic.

Hi fellow Bear!

 

What I meant was that when using a DS4 controller, the icons in GTA V still reference Xbox control schemes, so it will say at times press A or B to do something, when on the DS4 it would be X or O, that sort of thing.  Seems like there is no way to fix that without another mod which I think is out there.

Is something like that what you're looking for? No idea if it works - I didn't try installing it myself.

I think that’s what I need yes!!

 

I’m currently struggling thru the main install using Criminal Justice tutorial but am stuck at the Callout Interface plugin.  I made a separate post.

What have you selected in GTAV setup as controller, try the opposite of what you have now and see if that works, but im not knowable in gamebox-controllers at all, i use a simple keyboard for 'all' my gaming, do not own a gamebox-controller (old you know.... : D

Unfortunately there is no option, and the only way would be via the mod above.  If I had any hair to pull out over this I would have done it long ago!!

 

But I'm slowly but surely making progress via some really good youtube tutorials by Criminal Justice.
