So I've been playing GTA V and LSPDFR since I bought the game on Steam relatively recently. When I try to open the game now though, the Rockstar launcher won't connect and the game tells me "Activation Required" then kicks me off when I click "OK". I've been trying to solve this since yesterday and I've read in some places that I may have been shadow banned by Rockstar for modifying game files? I have never opened GTA Online on this pc and I never planned to. Please help?

Spelling mistake and some clarification.

You don't get banned for modifying game files unless you explicitly choose to connect to GTA Online (which, by default, none of the modding tools SHV/RPH will allow you to do).

 

Does this happen when you launch GTA V by itself, without RPH?

 

 

Yes, the same thing happens trying to open the game with or without RPH.

Have you tried restarting it in online mode? Do you also have rockstar games social club installed?

How do I restart it in online mode? Anytime I start the game or the launcher itself it just goes straight into offline mode.

I do have Rockstar social club installed.

The game's working now. I've literally done nothing to it since I made this post.
