Hey people, today I was messing around with Niko, the god mode enabled, and cops. I was, well, you know how's GTA, speeding, blowing cars, killing inocent people and making jihad with grenades, so I had more than 3 stars. I had the annoying police helicopters disabled but suddenly I started being shot from above, I checked out the map but there weren't any police choppers in the air, so I started thinking Santa Claus was shoting me and I say myself "that fatso will see what's good" so I spawned the Buzzard and I took off.

 

But then, when I was in the air, I saw a fat cop with the m16 shooting me from the roof of a building, I think it was the building with the bank of the "Three leaf cover" mission. I was surprised, so instead of unloading all the rockets of the Buzzard on him I decided to fly around the building and see if there was any kind of door or stairs to go up the roof. I didn't find anything but when I approached again where the first sniping officer was, it had just spawned another fat cop with m16, and then another one.

 

I could take these pictures, they ain't very good since I'm pretty bad driving helicopters and I completely forgot about changing the weather and time.

In sum, I didn't spawn myself the officers up there, and I didn't find any way to go to the roof, besides, with the bad ai of the peds I don't think they would have go up there to shot me, instead they would have run to me. So I can only think of a glitch of the spawn system, that the officers were already there, or who knows, maybe the game's ai is better than we thought and there's an elite LCPD sniper team!

Well they are a bit dark but other than that they look nice :D

LCPD sniper teams can be found on the roofs of some buildings when you go on a rampage. I'm pretty sure they can be found near the courthouse in LC also.

This isn't a glitch; it's intentional behavior. Are you sure they were M16s? I've actually been shot at by cops with sniper rifles from there.

Yeah, well they were m4, but I have installed the m16a2 mod. You can see it in the second picture.

 

I'm surprised with this, I've been playing GTA for more than 2 years and this is the first time this happens; I'm glad to see this feature ingame, police snipers is something I always wanted to see in GTA, it would be better if they were noose units, but cool anyways

It's happened to me before, and I've had NOOSE shoot at me from up there, just need over 4 stars.

lol, I never saw LCPD on roofs, but that's maybe because I'm not that badass sometimes 

Yeah, there are a few building around Times Square that will have snipers spawn on the roofs. Its intentional behavior.
