Hey everyone, howzit going?

So I've been having a few dramas trying to get past the loading screen on lspdfr without it crashing, it was working sweet until I installed the below vehicles / character files through LML (lennys mod loader), it downloaded and converted all ok but crashes the game on the loading screen (doesn't matter if the mods are enabled or not).

I've removed the 3 files and it no longer crashes, I was wondering if there's a way around it? Can anyone throw some directions or maybe a link on how to install them without LML? I've had NO success installing things through LML but I've managed to install other vehicles etc. through openiv. I'm not sure if I need permission off somebody to install these or what the go is around that space but I'm willing to have a crack. I'm not even sure if this is the right forum to be reaching out on?

The conversion mechanism makes educated guesses but is no guarantee that files will work. That being said, misconfigured mod should not necessarily lead to a crash. Do you have a gameconfig file? Perhaps you are exhausting your pool sizes.

Thanks for the reply, willing to try anything to see if it works, I do have gameconfig, packfilelimitadjuster and heapadjuster installed.

Not sure about pool sizes, this is my first crack at pc gaming, literally rocked up at a pc shop handed over a few thousand and giving it a fair crack 💪 the computer is decent tho, should handle it. 

I've attached my gtav main directory if that helps.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated, I can still play the game if the files are removed from LML tho so at least theres no speeding on my highways 👮‍♂️.

If I have to follow or join some forum, like if I'm barking up the wrong tree I'm happy to do that too.🤷‍♂️

On a different subject, you don't have any idea how I'd go about getting speed limits for roads in game? I'm just sort of relying on the actual speed signs in the game.

If you have a gameconfig you should be good. I tried the first vehicle you mentioned ([Non-ELS] Fictional Australian Police VF UTE) and it worked for me. Can you try with just that one installed?

So I've got the files installed to LML and it no longer crashes! Turns out gameconfig hadn't been install into openiv correctly, I had been opening it as an administrator, I've changed my profiles privileges, installed gameconfig correctly now and LSPDFR no longer crashes with these files installed to LML, HOWEVER 😬 lol I cannot figure out how to spawn or load these vehicles/ uniforms in-game, I don't have them in the police garage/ locker at the precinct and am unable to spawn them if I go through the police list in the F4 menu 😬😬 any ideas?? Also any ideas if there's some sort of speed map overlay for the GTA V map, I've looked but cant seem to find one online?

EDIT; I've gone into carvariations in openiv and changed the name to police3 and then police5 to try and spawn it using that F4 name tag but no dice (have changed it back). I was going to change the buffalo police cruiser to something other than police3 but wasn't to keen to go to deep down the rabbit hole without someone saying that's the way to do it .

I've also tried loading them into the running game in the LML menu and still computer says NO .

I cant seem to find what tag to use in the F4 menu or how to spawn any cars in these files.

You would spawn them using the model name, e.g. spawn "markedvfute". What happens when you type that in?

 

Also if you want, there is a gameconfig file for LML so in case of a game update it is easier to fix than through OpenIV.

MATE! I swear I did that amongst ten thousand other things last night and it didn't work..... I SWEAR....

Now its working no problem  maybe the shutting down and booting up the PC sorted it?????? anyway thanks HEAPS.

Yip, I got that gameconfig for LML 

Any idea how to get the sirens working these mate?

The lights are all good but no audio for the sirens, the vehicles META file had them marked as buffalo2 so I changed it to markedvfute but still had the issue, I have changed it back.  

Last question I promise 😬

Often times they come with a custom audio name hash that does not exist in the game, try changing it to something like POLICE.

So one was using DOMINATOR and the other that BUFFALO2 I've changed them now and all works like it should, the only sacrifice is the SS commodore and VF Ute patrol units engines don't sound like the big V8s anymore but I can live with that!
