  • Oh damn! And just like that, now BxBugs' cars are finally useful... :p Awesome video too, very well done!

  • Jerry Lee ^^

  • Phew, good news is that my decompiler was able to get my variables names. I just have to clean that code. It will take some time, but it's not tragedy and I will get back to normal work on it tomorrow

Just thought I'd say it works absolutely perfectly for me. I have however replaced the sound files you included with some from Max Payne 3 as they're of a higher quality but that is no big issue, you most likely only included whatever dog sound effects that you could get ahold of for free. I would like the ability for the dog to sniff peds and perhaps stationary cars too. I guess this could be done in two ways, either by intentionally targetting a specific ped/one that you have stopped, or by going close to a specific car you could order to the dog to search them. Alternatively, perhaps you could set the dog to 'sniff mode' where you could just walk him through a crowd, with a random chance he would then target one of those peds with a specific reaction. (with a message displaying that the dog had a positive reaction to the presence of drugs/gunpowder/explosive residue etc.)

All in all it is working fine and there's just that one little extra feature I'd like to see.

anyone else have a problem where this stop to conner script from working

What do you mean by "stop". Do is throw any errors etc? I plan to release new METT version soon, with some fixes so I may send you new test version. Mine coroner mod works just fine but I have not yet released version :D

There is one problem with that features... they are already in :D

You can search parked and pulled over cars no matter if driver is in or not. Dog is constantly doing passive drug search around him, but to not lag the game it's done every 5 second in 2.8ft diameter. I will increase a chance to find drugs a little in next version.

PS: On that Max Payne sounds. I'd be glad to use them but I don't have the game. I don't think it's a problem that it's from another game, as most car models are converted from other games, especially where you have to buy Rockstars's GTA to play script that includes dog sounds made by them ;)

Ah I for some reason came to believe that a car had to be stopped by you in a traffic stop to be searched (which confused me because LCPDFR and the K9 script obviously can't communicate). I also hadn't yet experienced the passive searching. That's excellent.

As I own both games I just grabbed sounds from the ambient sound packs and used them to replace yours. They do sound better ingame but I don't believe I should release it, as that would be giving content out to people from a game that I had myself paid for, when they potentially hadn't. My only issue really with the sounds provided were that they were fairly loud and there seemed to be some additional noise to them. Not a major issue though.

everyone can change therr sounds as they want so I don't think it's a problem :)

Does anyone have lagging problems during using K-9 Script?

I saw in some other archived thread that "many users" had problems with lags and glitches but I had really small amount of bug reports. Most errors were caused by incorrect installation.

Wow, everything you produce is pure gold. Any plans for Police-Helper support for this?

Aside from bug fixes and updates, what's next on your agenda? Perhaps a METT style EMT response to replace our brain dead paramedics? It's kind of funny how precise and productive the METT is compared to the paramedics who usually stand next to their ambulance or help one injury before casually walking away without their ambulance (which I than have to tow with the VdH script)

PoliceHelper will support it in some way. Actually K-9 Script will support PoliceHelper in future :)

Plan is:

TowScript: bug fixes and try to add ability to get rid of HUGE vehicles (not sure if I will manage to do that)

METT: bug fixes and improved stability, support for K-9 script (bodies found in trunk)

PoliceHelper: rewrite code, improve stability, add support for METT and the most important thing add callouts

I don't plan to work on any other mods for now.

Nice idea on the Huge vehicles part... I hate leaving buses empty on the street...

Does anyone know how to set the K9 specifically to the "Jerry Lee" German Shephard model? I know there's a place in the .ini file, but what should I put into that field? I tried putting in 1, 2, 3.... in like the -1 for random charector to see if it would set to a specific model, but I still got the random texture.

maybe I can make you a longer version of the flatbed?

Imagine flatbed for a bus :D

Get the person to play the mechanic animation and repair the vehicle.

And there goes my idea. OK I may add something like this, but only when big car is on the road and not burned. If not... well, you'll see

0 is for typical German Shepherd

1 is for silver

2 is for white

3 is for Belgian Malinois

4 is for black German Shepherd

Great, thanks! I didn't try 0...
