To all the people denying that the US is a police state, have you been to an airport? You get sexually assaulted to prove you're not a terrorist. You get drinks purchased behind the gate tested by people that don't change gloves after patting people down and going inside the underwear. You get ordered to stop on command. Babies get diapers ripped off to prove they're not a terrorist. But people like the underwear bomber get to be escorted past security despite having no passport.

Isn't a characteristic of a police state a militarized national police force? We have that, with cops being given M4A1s and APCs with LRAD devices mounted on them. Besides that, most SWAT Team officers wear masks over their faces, isn't that being secretive in their actions?

The reason why people deny that the "land of the free and home of the brave" is a police state, granted not as bad as East Germany but getting there, is because the media refuses to talk about bills like HR 347, the Patriot Act and section 1021 of the NDAA. It should be added that bills like the NDAA only exist in two other countries: North Korea and China (which didn't pass their bill until after we did and you can only be held 6 months there compared to being held indefinitely here). Don't tell me those two countries are bastions of freedom.

It's a scary thought to grasp that took me a while to accept, but now that I have I see more examples of why this country isn't as free as it claims to be everyday. Don't try to rebut this until you look up those bills I already mentioned.

On topic, to all the Obama supporters, I hope you finally get the change you wanted this time, since it's already 4 years late of what he promised to do. To the Romney supporters, did you actually think someone who had to cheat to win the Republican nomination then excluded some of the most selective voters would win, and did you actually think he would fix the mess this country is in?

In his farewell address, President George Washington warned against us forming political parties. We get too caught up arguing with each other and less time trying to come up with a solution together.

One thing is for sure though, I like Obama, but that's because he has a great personality, I will not blindly follow or believe in policies of either party because that's not my bone to pick. However I will not stand for a person like Romney who is homophobic and condescending among other characteristics that would instantly detract me from that person regardless of anything. It's not the beliefs that influence me it's the value of the character. A good person will be a good person and a bad person will inherently be bad. It's over now and that's how the system works. Again don't like the system? Go colonize Mars and run your own little bubble of fantasy that such childish thoughts may bring. There is a reason why politics are not discussed in elementary, middle, and to certain extents, high school levels. Does not belong there nor does it belong here, this is a site for POLICE MODIFICATIONS, a hobby or sorts.

(Although the irony kills me how we are so quick to criticize the police and make certain arguments when aside from politics all we do here is download police modifications and request various police modifications, we become so giddy about new mods and what not I find it very amusing.) For everyone leaving negative comments about both Obama and Romney, the election is over, Obama won, take the high road and get over it.

I supported romney the whole way through but my original post did not say f obama hes an idiot. It said "Good luck." Because while I hoped for Romney, we have Obama for four years and slandering him isnt going to do anything.

I can agree with that. Nothing would make me happier to see him impeached. And for EVERYONE in America to know what happened in Benghazi and the failure on Obama's side.

That's where you're wrong, i believe everything Obama is doing is right, don't get me wrong, i'm sure he has done things no one agrees with, however, Romney nor any of the Bush family are worth the shit on the bottom of my shoes ( i stepped in dog shit today) people say the Obama is a war president? that doesn't compare to President Bush Senior or his son, Romney would would rather give to the rich then help the poor or middle class.

Obama has done many great things when i say that i mean to the health care, and the respect that man has for women is just phenomenal, he has my respect.

But you have your opinion and you have yours, but i would like to point out that probably 50% of the people voted against Obama only because he's black.

I'm pretty sure that two people can disagree about political issues without either one being stupid or uninformed. That's why they're called "opinions".
