If you have a crappy computer like me (GTX 460 1gb) use the following two mods. You get a similar result as ENB but without the frame rate drops.

Use RealityIV 1.62 Timecycle Mod in combination with injectSMAA - Antialiasing in GTA IV / EFLC. I get like 40 - 45 fps on average all settings on high with view distance and detail both set to 90.

I also suggest getting HD Road Textures by DKT70 Re-Edited by Fonia5 and metalwars coronaspack v1.0 and Blood Tweak v1.0. All these mods can be used in MP without any problems.

I'm sure you could run ENB if you had medium settings on everything else. However I'm slightly concerned about integrated graphics- it may be worth saving up for something like a GTX-560/570 to really improve performance.

Give ENB a try and see if it works, if not then you may need a better GPU.

How can he save up for one if he is on a laptop?

Also you might be able to run GTA 4, what FPS do you get in game. Just post than I can decide if you can run a ENB...

That laptop's probably not going to cut it, man. The 'G' series is a budget lineup from HP. Slightly better parts than a Compaq, but the same poor build quality. They have the Compaq lineup, then the G series, then the Pavilion series, then the Envy or Pavilion Elite series. I'd be amazed if GTA IV ran at a tolerable frame rate regularly on a high resolution, never mind with an ENB. The '6' in the G name simply means it's a 16" laptop. Just the same that G7 would mean it's a 17" laptop.
