Here in Indiana we are getting STRONG winds . We might get some snow when it hits us. Yipee!

Its only going to bring a snow storm. Just going to be a blizzered but in a hurricane style lol. Just like everything else news make it seem 10x worst than what it really is.

Makes me feel good to live in Wisconsin. But yet again it was snowing today and its a high of 40 out right now... -.-

Even the scientist that found it and named it said its not as bad as the news makes it..

Where I am, there will be no snow, just a lot of rain. And the scientist who finds a storm has no special insight into it; certainly, he has no more insight than other forecasters.

I had to deal with the crazy wind down here in FL for the last two days, there were a few power companies out lately from the wind. We got around 70 - 75 MPH winds.

Unsurprisingly, my school is closed Monday and Tuesday. DC thinks sane reactions to weather are things that happen to other people.

lol, that's pathetic. It's kind of like fay for me, it was an OMG moment and then all we get is a ton of rain, just rain. I mean, we may have had some warnings, but that's it for where I live.

EDIT: Actually, because of high wind warnings, my school was closed on Friday. Apparently there is a county thing where if winds are above 40 MPH, buses are not aloud to leave campus.

Our winds are supposed to stay generally below 40 mph. It's really just my school system overreacting to any kind of weather. One year, they canceled school in anticipation of snow, and there wound up being literally no snow.

I wouldn't doubt it. If it hit around 75 down here, it will surely exceed up there.

Least your not helping the fd out going around pumping out basements and other stuff like that in your own turnout gear. Does not matter to me because i use a smaller set of gear that fits me and a spare one
