LCPDFR Multiplayer Issues

Featured Replies

Hey all.

Firstly, just a big thanks to everyone who's developed LCPDFR. It's given me with hours of entertainment in single player mode.

I'm posting really just to share some issues we've been having LCPDFR in multiplayer. These are not complaints! I'm hoping there's work solutions that perhaps others have found.

Issue 1. We all (clan members) find LCPDFR simply stops working after a while.

Issue 2. Peds who are being arrested will often just vanish. This also happens to vehicles that have been pulled over.

issue 3. Suspect will often drive off when player returns to vehicle and opens the in car computer. Vehicle then vanishes.

Anyone found any work arounds for these issues?

As a side note which isn't related to LCPDFR, does anyone know the mechanics of hosting a game? We assumed the players starting the MP mission hosted the game and became the server. This can't be the case because after the host crashed out, rebooted machine, the game continued for the other players connected.

Cheers

Divito

LCPDFR wasn't built for multiplayer, the issues you've reported are down to sync issues.

You pull the ped over, but the game is still trying to force it to follow the set path for the other players so that they don't get any errors etc.

Processor: Intel i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

The game does not dedicate a single host, it's split between everyone, hence the common error - "The connection to one or more players was lost."

MP is really at your own risk because you have to spawn multiple instances of the mod (one for each player). Mods like ELS will make things worse. And god forbid if you plan on playing with people from overseas. I tried playing with Olanov once on a vanilla server. No mods or anything, and the latency sucked. That aside, the game just isn't built for MP. The way the script works it can't be. I'd say that a proper multiplayer is on the way, but because moving to GTA V is a real possibility, you might have to wait another few years for that to come to fruition.
