Help me with an idea I have.

I know this sounds insane, but I was thinking of getting rid of the Noose/SWAT guys and replacing them with either LC Sheriffs or Liberty State police. Basically, I have the 2 normal police cars as LCPD Caprice 9C1s, and I was going to make the other specialty vehicles (noose, polpat, ect) either part of the State Police or Sheriffs office, and give them more advanced and sporty vehices (newer CVPIs, Tahoes, ect.) Changing the cars is easy, I'm just searching for the right skins. Heres what I need help with: The peds. Right now, I have changed the noose guys animation to "move_cop_", hoping they would walk upright, and they do. But they carry rifles with one hand like an idiot. So theres that. I was going to replace them with a more diverse group of sheriffs or state troopers, and that would also require changng their audio lines (to the cocky redneck sounding alderny cops, you know). I have somewhat of an idea on how to do this. I beleive I saw in peds.IDE or pedvariations something about audio. Also, I would want some variation in ped clothing, so like right now my STROOPER from Custos "New cops and state troopers" mod. It has all types of different uniform variations. So to make that work with swat all I would have to do is change the wtd and wft names to m_y_swat and then copy its pedvariations line over to the swat one, correct?

I know this all sounds confusing. Basically I want my swat guys to be state troopers/sheriffs, and to talk like them as well. Any ideas/suggestions?

Or don't send them - replace swat models with your desired ones (rename them), then go to Grand Thief Auto IV/Common/Data and:

Except change M_Y_STROOPER to M_Y_SWAT wherever it appears; otherwise, you just duplicated the strooper line.

Think about it. The game *will* be spawning the m_y_swat model; there is no known way to change that. You want to replace m_y_swat.w** with the strooper w** files, but there are datafile changes you need. The thing is, the only way the game knows to use the line with the m_y_swat model is if it starts with M_Y_SWAT. Otherwise, it should error (first, there are two strooper lines, which could error; second, it would refuse to spawn m_y_swat).
