how to change default police cars

Featured Replies

sorry, probably not the right place to ask but, I have installed a vehicle mod for LSPDFR (it's a retro pack) and I would like to swap the default police cars out for this new pack. I know how to spawn in this new car via simple trainer but seeing modern police cars driving around is a bit distracting.

Any help appreciated!

That is what I was trying to get at. I just needed to double check something.

  • So you've installed the retro pack but the retro pack doesn't replace all the police slots. Am I correct?

You can if you dont want whatever vehicle is in that slot to spawn there. 🙂

Yeah pretty much, the only way to drive the retro pack is by going into simple trainer and spawning manually, the default police cars remain the same.

edit the agency.xml and underneath the area you want to have your cars patrolling, you will see the cars assigned there. For example for Blaine county sheriff and sheriff2 are assigned. You add your vehicle of choice to that assigned area

agency.xml 16.03 kB · 0 downloads backup.xml 2.6 kB · 0 downloads

Show me the vehicle file names for each of the vehicles you are trying to add to the xmls.

If I'm correct, you don't add the whole pack to the agency.xml

You add the individual vehicles to there.

For example if I downloaded an addon pack called 'LSPD Pack' and inside that LSPD pack were 2 cars, LSPD1 and LSPD2.

You don't put <Vehicle>LSPD Pack</Vehicle>

you put <Vehicle>LSPD1</Vehicle>

and         <Vehicle>LSPD2</Vehicle>

Hope this helps
