  • Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
  • 15.6in Full High Definition (1080p) WLED with AntiGlare
  • 8GBDDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz
  • 1TB Serial ATA (5400RPM)
  • 8x DVD+/-RW Optical Drive
  • 2GB AMD Radeon HD 7730M

My opinion, never play such games as IV on a laptop damn near impossible to upgrade, sorry, they are impossible to upgrade, get a custom desktop, FYI i didn't even look at either spec's, i say desktop PC hands down.

EDIT: i did look at your graphic's card, the AMD Sapphire Radeon HD 7570 you posted is better then mine, i have a 6790 and it's still a hell of a card.

How about the desktop I posted :)

most of my part's are AMD so i'm not really sure about your CPU cause i don't really know any other brand's, but i think it would be beneficial to go get that desktop.

Would 8GB be enough for GTA IV because ive used it on a 3GB laptop (I know it failed) and that runs it at 8-12 fps...lol

Defo the desktop.

Will the graphics card be enough because im not really wanting to upgrade everything as im not very "technologically advanced" in other words im 14 :)

I also say desktop but I'm not 100% sure on the CPU though... A 3570K would be better than a 3450 when it comes to gaming. Buying "ready made" computers such as Dell, Alienware (also Dell but still...) tends to be more expensive than buying a rig from scratch from parts you pick yourself. Im not saying that you should build it, but aren't there companies where you live that delivers custom built computers?

To illustrate what I mean: a 3570K isn't much more expensive than a 3450 but its way better for gaming. In the desktop above theres a 2TB HDD. I'd rather go for maybe half that size and spend that money on a better graphics card instead. See what I mean? I'm a Nvidia guy myself but its a matter of taste if you go for GeForce or Radeon cards. Just make sure you get one that WORKS well for games you are going to play. Google benchmark tests for different cards. That will give you a pretty good idea about how well a certain card performs.

Case: Corsair Vengeance C70 | Mobo: MSI Z77A-S01 | CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K@4.2GHz | Cooler: Corsair Hydro H100 | RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 Mhz LP 8GB | GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 680 Lightning@1300MHz | SSD: Corsair Force 3 SSD 120GB | HDD: Seagate Maximus Hybrid 500/4GB | QPAD Mk-85

Ok I'm actually using my laptop to play GTA IV. It works fine just that my is i7 and has a better graphic card... It cost me a bombshell...... BUT no matter how good a laptop is GTA IV will still tend to lag and have some what frequent texture loss. SO i suggest you get a desktop.
