ELS Not working after update

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've updated GTA, got LSDPFR working and all other mods I had installed.

However, ELS is not working. The Ctrl+P menu appears and appears the script is also installed. However it is not working on the vehicles. No lights appear.

I've reinstalled the vehicles into Patchday23 and reinstalled visual.dat however ELS is still not working

Thanks,

Ross

Move vehicles to Patchday22ng  I found that patchday23ng to be an issue with spawning in new cars.

Please feel free to check out my straight to the point LSPDFR TUTORIALS / LSPDFR GAMEPLAY

Ok

Have you installed the XML files correctly into the ELS folder pack_default

Should do, I'm using the same files as I had before the update. I haven't actually touched the XML files tbh

Ya the XML files should be fine.  Have tried to reinstall ELS to make sure that the update didn't flub up something?

Also describe what is happening with the lights.  Like they are not flashing at all?  Which vehicles are currently testing it out on?

Yeah, ELS has been reinstalled too.

The lights aren't flashing at all. I've tried it with all vehicle slots (Police, Sheriff, FBI etc.) and a few dlc ones. Having the same issue with all.

To be honest, I'm considering just doing a fresh install. Start again from my backup folder

I know the update screwed a lot of things up for most people.  A lot of us had to create a new mods folder.  As the update also screwed over the visualsettings.dat file and dlclist.   You could try perhaps making a brand new mods folder.  Reinstall a fresh visualsettings.dat   (I recommend a better radiance, as I have found it to be good on both day and night cycles)

Install into Patchday22ng  see if that helps.  Downloading GTA 5 all over again sucks, but I also had to do this last week trying to figure out my texture loss situation.

I've tried the new visualsetting.dat. Unfortunately still no joy!

Yeah its shitty having to reinstall everything, but I think it is going to be the most likely outcome for me

Ok try this. First, open your LSPDFR main folder and look for the file that says "OpenIV.ASI". Delete it. Then open OpenIV and go up to the top left side where it says "Tools" and click it. On the drop menu you will see "ASI Manager" click that. Next, click "uninstall" for the ASI Loader tab. Now, click it again when it says "Install". Under the "Open IV.ASI" tab click "Install" as well. Then close out OpenIV and reboot your PC and tell me if that fixed it?
