Crashing at loadup - Vanilla works without LSPDFR.

Hey there!

So, for some strange reason my LSPDFR has stopped working, the funny thing is when I disable LSPDFR and run GTA V with RPH, then it launches fine without any issues, I have checked the RPH log, but can't seem to figure out why it crashes, spent several hours, and I'm still lost.

If anyone could shed some light on this, I'd appreciate it.

I have tried to reinstall LSPDFR, but it still crashes with the exact same error 😐

Disable your ambient events. You can disable it from the lspdfr.ini file, situated into the lspdfr folder

I'm afraid the result is the same, no idea what is causing this, it literally happened out of nowhere. To give you some background of what exactly happens is obviously at the RPH loading splash, when it lists up all the plugins being loaded, as soon as "LSPD First Response loaded" comes up, it crashes immediately after, if that makes any sense.

New RPH log attached.

EDIT: Well that's a first, I created a new mods folder and installed all the regular mods I usually use to enhance things, and it all comes down to some specific vehicles that LSPDFR doesn't like it seems, because they're working fine and dandy without LSPDFR. Now comes the difficult task of finding whatever the hell vehicles it doesn't like and take them out 😞

But at least I found the issue, 'half-way' ! 🤪

From your log, it looks like LSPDFR is trying to load the multiplayer map (needed for the police interior and other things) and that is causing your game to crash.

I'd be interested to know what you did to cause this to go away, as I know other people have had this problem.

Try setting

Main.DisableMultiplayerMap = true

in your LSPDFR.ini and seeing if the problem goes away even with the problematic vehicles installed, as I could be wrong as the line numbers look slightly off in the log.

I too have seen an influx of people having crashing issues loading into the game.  Same for me as well.  Never seen anything like this.  I also reinstalled GTA 5 with just plain LSPDFR and getting errors.  I wonder if I could delete out the last game save perhaps?  Start really fresh? Not sure, but Singleplayer works great.

Please post your log in a new thread and I would be happy to take a look. The advice I've given to the original author is tailored to what their log is saying.

Ya sorry, just noticed that you had looked over his log and saw that it was calling on a open interrior thing.

FYI:  I just got mine to work, BUT only one time.  I tried replacing my RageNativeUI.dll and it seemed to work. But only one time.  I will make a new thread as you suggest Cyan. Thanks

Well that did the trick!

I reverted back to the original mods folder, and added Main.DisableMultiplayerMap = true into LSPDFR.ini and now LSPDFR is launching successfully. I did however see a critical error from OpenInteriors.asi ScriptHook, so it appears OpenInteriors is the culprit here.

I shall try to replace the OpenInterior files and try this maneuver again.

Thanks a lot for the help! 🙂

EDIT: I will update the OP once I have isolated the issue completely causing this behavior, however thanks to Cyan and OfficerBenzo we have narrowed it down to being the OpenInteriors.asi causing this.

Disabling multiplayermap in LSPDFR.ini - Fixes the issue.

Removing OpenInteriors.asi in GTA V root with multiplayermap in LSPDFR.ini enabled  - Fixes the issue.

I believe it must be something config wise in OpenInteriors as it worked flawless before, and all of a sudden it stopped working.

@Matteov2.0 sorry for tagging in advance,

May I ask, what made you instantly think it was ambient events causing this? - I mean clearly it has absolutely nothing to do with it at all. It's nothing against you helping others, I'm sure you are appreciated in this community, however I can see pretty much in every single thread you ask people to do the same, even if the issue has nothing to do with ambient events, why is that?

@ka0sdev You are right to ask for explanations.
To be honest I realized that I thought wrong, in fact even the "volunteers" of the site who help make mistakes because at the same time they are formed, this in my case. Unfortunately, after realizing the mistake, I didn't have time to change my answer.

You say that in every single thread you ask people to do the same, even if the issue has nothing to do with ambient events. This is not true, because the last logs I analyzed were a problem due to environmental events: Error while ambient game blibs.

In your case how i said i though that the error was refered to the ambient blibs, but i have said a nonsense, and i am aware of this

Interesting, I wonder if both OpenInteriors and LSPDFR are both trying to load the MP maps in different ways and this is causing crashing. Either way we can probably add better detection for this error instead of it leading to the mod crashing in a future release.

No worries, just wanted to align properly on the subject. I just got crazy confused by it as I knew for a fact that all my ambient events both from LSPDFR and additional ambience mods were working completely fine, perhaps I lost my temper a little bit 🙂 *The air is cleared now!*

Quite possibly, I will do some testing this afternoon, it's strange how this all of a sudden started becoming a problem as it worked multiple times before. I might even think there is a conflict of interest between EAI (Enable all Interiors) and Open Interiors, and no they are definitely not the same mod, they can unlock some of the same things, that's correct but far from being the same. Once I can consistently reproduce the issue after isolating the problem-plugin I will report back with the findings and possibly a work-around.
