If someone on the team sees this discussion, I want to know why when I perform a random chase, the backup is not reported and when the suspect stops I can't stop him (I actually don't see the red bar at the bottom left)?

Yeah I have the same problem too.

Why is that even a thing really?

when you get a random small red dot on the map this is a previously lost/wanted suspect that has been re-found.

 

To initiate the pursuit you need to hold B to call it in. This will pop up a red bar (bottom right corner) saying "reporting P..." once you fill the red bar an actual pursuit will be initiated, backup will then get involved.

 

If you call backup before you initiate the pursuit you are only calling normal code 2 or 3 backup not pursuit backup.

Per iniziare l'inseguimento è necessario tenere premuto B per richiamarlo. Verrà visualizzata una barra rossa (angolo in basso a destra) che dice "segnalazione P ..." una volta riempita la barra rossa verrà avviato un inseguimento effettivo, il backup verrà quindi mettersi in gioco.

 

Se si chiama backup  prima  di iniziare l'inseguimento, si chiama solo il backup di codice 2 o 3 normale e non l'inseguimento del backup.

Press and hold the right thumb stick in.

After I call in the pursuit though, I cannot perform a takedown on the suspect at gunpoint. The bar doesn't even show up when I hold down E. I have to use STP's takedown feature, or let my backup arrest him. Any way to fix this?

LukeD ha detto che devi premere B non E, dopo aver premuto B puoi fermarlo con E

No, I already call in the pursuit by holding down B, and are able to call in backup, but then when I want to get the driver out of the vehicle the takedown by holding "e" feature doesn't work.
