Wouldn't an action wheel be awesome??

Featured Replies

I played that game "police simulator" and while it does not come even close to LSPDFR, what stuck out to me that I liked was that wheel that comes up where you can pick to ticket, arrest, and all that. Would that be hard to implement in the next release or maybe a mod? What do you guys think?

I honestly would love to see something like that. I know there are current mods and the base that have menus where you can perform those actions, but a smooth action wheel would be a  nice addition.

Hell yea man. It'll make it much easier to pick commands instead of remembering everything. Maybe even make it switchable. I might have to look how are that would be to make. Might do it myself.

Honestly, that isnt a bad idea. A new idea like that can encourage other mod makers and even more amateur ones to get into modding more.

We've had an action wheel in LCPDFR if you have ever played that and it worked quite well I think, so perhaps this is something to re-investigate. We tried to take a more "game like" approach with LSPDFR though, hence relying on helpboxes and displaying keys more.

Please do not PM me unless really necessary (knowing you helps). If you think you need my attention in a topic, tag me.

I have not. I'll have to check that out. Yeah, I understand. Nothing wrong with the current setup for sure, just an idea.

Actually back in the days where I used to play LSPDFR on a daily base I was kinda annoyed by playing with my ps4 controller and not being able to use most of the mods due a conflict with different key mappings.

That's when I coded my own Action Wheel and used the respective APIs from the mods and it worked kinda well, just that still not every mod worked out of the box due missing APIs or fixed key mapping.

Shame on me cause I deleted everything long time ago as I thought that there would be no public interest in such kind of mods as there would be already one released if so.

For an experienced modder it should not be too difficult as I had no experience with modding.
