Crashes at mission load

Hey,

I'm having some trouble installing LCPD:FR - with the mod installed, missions can load fine, and the game is playable. But if I install LCPD:FR, all of its dependencies(currently using xliveless ASI loader, dsound did not work), the game crashes after a couple of seconds of loading the mission.

I've followed Harper's video which has still left me with the problem.

TL;DR: Game crashes with xliveless ASI and harpers video followed to the word.

Had the same issue with Xliveless, switch to the other option and it should work. Good luck =)

Hi,

I tried dsound and the game would not launch at all, it instantly crashed.

1) You need to upgrade to GTA IV 1.0.7.0, download the patch from my signature.

2) When using Dsound, you must run you game as an admin, right click on game shortcut, run as admin.

Whoops - the error was I had simply forgotten to patch it to 1.0.7.0. All working now! Thanks people for your quick responses :D

It is, because every topic is dedicated to a specific issue that OP has. It may turn out that you have entirely different problem. Simply create your own thread.

am kinda in the same Boat i Dl the game and lcpdfr and then it worked fine until i installed a car Mod its Crashes at the load Screen and tell me that GTAIV isnt working

By posting in this thread, you are going to confuse both the OP and the people that are trying to help. If you have a problem, you need to create a separate thread so that it is clear what advice you have been given, and it makes the advice user specific as not all problems are caused by the same thing even if the symptoms are the same.
