Taser X26 1.1.0

I’m proud to present the Taser X26 stun gun replacement mod for GTA V.

Includes the base X26 model, a variant with the XDPM module attached, and a variant with the X26c Camera attached.

Also included are texture variants for black and yellow and 3 different cartridge texture variants for 15 (Yellow), 21 (Silver), 25 (Green) foot ranges.

Please leave any feedback, suggestions and encountered issues below in the comments section.

Note: Texture variants do not change function of X26 and are only used for looks.

Main Installation

Choose a model variant (Base, Cam, or XDPM).
Open weapons.rpf inside of \mods(if enabled)\\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday8ng\dlc.rpf\x64\models\cdimages\ using OpenIV.
Click “Edit mode” button inside of OpenIV (right of the path box).
Replace w_pi_stungun+hi.ytd, w_pi_stungun_hi.ydr, w_pi_stungun.ytd, and w_pi_stungun.ydr using files from selected model variant above.
Close OpenIV and start GTA V.

Note: Installation directions written for patch v1011. Other patch versions installation may differ.

Installation of texture variants

To install texture variants replace the appropriate w_x26_XX.png in w_pi_stungun+hi.ytd and the w_x26_XX_low.png in w_pi_stungun.ytd.

This is what i've always wanted. Thanks!

I like this mod. However, not sure if it messed with my other Sound pack. My gun sounds sounded nice a crisp before, but now after installing this I can only hear my Gun Fire in my left ear only. The only thing I did different was manipulate the weapons.oac file as describe in the readme. Anyone else have any issues?

You thinking of another mod? This doesn't have any sounds that I can see. If you manipulate an .oac file with the current version of OpenIV though, there's a good chance that's what caused it, as it's currently kinda broken.

Yep you are right. I did two thing. I got this model, which is kick ass. Then downloaded a tazer sound. I will track it down. Thanks Kilyin

@OfficerBenzo This is a model only and doesn't include any sounds, just to clarify. Glad you fixed your issue though!

But wouldn't that require you to actually use a taser and not mow everyone down with an AK-47? :)

Is there anyway that I can make this show up on the weapon dial in a different slot? in grenades for example? would help me cut down on accidentally shooting people lol.

@TacticalSandals I believe you can do that by editing the weapons.meta file but I'm not entirely sure how.

Thanks I found it, its a loud sounding taser now, cheers, shame if doesn't have a sound file after deployment when the taser is sending volts to the person...

As of right now it's an NPC only feature, surprised someone hasn't made a mod for it though.

@WSUCOUGAR The X2 and X3 look to be completely different from the X26, so just a skin wouldn't work. It would involve an entirely different model. I doubt I will ever do a X2 or X3. Sorry.
