Tired of those endless foot pursuits? Do you find yourself unlawfully shooting fleeing suspects in their backs because you're too lazy to chase? This is for you.

I've had this running for personal use for ages, but seeing as lots of people were requesting something like this I've decided to share it with you.

Foot Pursuit Aid is designed to make foot pursuits more manageable in a realistic way.
When you're running, you can press Enter on your keyboard or RightShoulder on your controller to make your character sprint for a short duration. Doing this has a small health cost (but it will never kill you) and there is a cooldown of 3 seconds. This is all configurable.

Installation
Place FootPursuitAid.dll in your GTA V/Plugins folder.
Place FootPursuitAid.ini in your GTA V/Plugins folder. Adjust the settings to your liking.
Place Albo1125.Common.dll in your GTA V folder.
Add "LoadPlugin FootPursuitAid.dll" to your startup file. Alternatively, load FootPursuitAid from the Rage console (F4 ingame).

I figured it out. The new trainer I installed was conflicting with it somehow.

I'm completely unfamiliar with the controller. I'd imagine so if that is de default key for going into cover.

This might just be me being stupid but whenever I try to extract the .RAR file it says that the file may be corrupt. Does this happen for anybody else?

re-download the file. Also, it is highly unlikely the mod will work correctly now due to it not being updated, but it is worth a test

Believe me, I have re-downloaded the mod plenty of times with the same result. Anyways, you are most likely right.

I keep getting an "Access Denied" message when I try unzipping the file, is there anything I need to do to fix this?

@Jmdzett No idea, I'll re-iterate sjain's point that seeing as the mod hasn't been updated since mid-2016, i'm assuming that the problem hasn't been fixed. I have no idea what's causing it, it might not even be the developer's problem. Just try re-downloading it, and if it doesn't work, you might just have to live without it for a while.

For anyone who is interested, I believe (if I'm not mistaken) that this feature is actually built in to the "Stop the Ped" mod and can be accessed in much the same way (by pressing Enter or Y on your controller) to get the sprint, AND is configurable. Link here:

Personally I like having as few mods that overlap as possible, although I'm sure each individual mod (generally speaking) has some unique features. Just wanted to point this out, I am still learning all this modding stuff 🙂
