Federal Signal Touchmaster Delta with Futura Tone
by: DavidJD051

This is my first mod, of any game, ever!

I couldn't quite find a siren that I wanted or knew I could comfortable keep for a while, so I made one myself and decided to share.

Installation:
1. Using OpenIV, navigate to "x64 > audio > sfx > RESIDENT.rpf"

2. From the siren pack, open the "Easy Install Folder"

3. Drag and drop the "vehicles.oac" onto the
page containing all of the ".awc" files. (Make sure OpenIV is in edit mode!)

Tones:

0x0EA58C7C: Horn

0x0D329446: Wail

SIREN_2: Yelp

POLICE_WARNING: Futura

Showcase:

Spoiler

Tones sampled from this video:

What's New in Version 1.3.0

Released

  • 1.2.0: Included an option to install just the wail and yelp tones (without futura tone).
  • 1.2.1: OOPS! I accidentally left in another modder's airhorn tone. This has been replaced with the stock GTAV one.
  • 1.3.0: Finally added a horn sound, removed the "non-futura" option for simplicity's sake.

Great job - I've been waiting for a well-looped Touchmaster Delta with that scan tone to come out.  You've got a knack for putting together great sirens for V.

why is the siren different for the impala. The only siren that is the same is the warning but the regular siren is different?

Thanks for sorting that out guys, I'll be sure to include that in the README file.

Is the siren for all cop cars, or only for the stanier?

It's the standard police siren, not for the FIB or Granger.

"Vehicles.oac (line 1): Not supported format version, actual "10" but expected "11".

I can second this. I have done research and attempted to find a solution before resulting to seeking help here, but got nowhere.

Reworking the steps to this issue, I followed the readme and dragged and dropped the vehicles.oac file into the x64 > audio > sfx > RESIDENT.rpf with all of the .acw files and received the included error message. I was using OpenIV in edit mode.

I think this issue is a recent bug with so many new updates, I figured some things may fall apart. This mod was functional before in earlier versions of the game and modding content, but not anymore.

If there is a genius modder or the mod developer himself could give any kind of direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hey guys! Thanks for the heads up on the error. I have been going to school and work full time for the past few months and have barely even had my computer on in that time. Since hearing about the release of 0.3, I've decided to try and make some time.

This error is most definitely caused by recent updates. Whether that be the game itself, RageHook, I'm not sure. This is (don't mean to toot my own siren) my favorite sound mod myself so I'll definitely do my best to pull some research and get it working again.

Hi do you know which file is the one that is related to the small bursts you emit when you push the G button? I want to mute them

The Siren shown in the video isnt a Touchmaster Delta. It is a Touchmaster UTM-4.

It has been fixed. I'm on the latest version of GTA V as well as LSPDFR and it's working fine for me. Which particular error are you referring to?

First take the vehicle.awc and put it into a folder labeled something like ORIGINAL AUDIO vehicles.  That way if things go wrong you can just replace with the original.   Now in the white area of the pathway just Right click,  "Import OpenFormats"  find the new siren labled with the vehicles.oac and import it.  WARNING IT WILL OVEWRITE the original.  This is why you want to save the original.  If you do not do this, you will have a non working game.

Since the .oac files format changed and OpenIV cannot import the .oac file included with this siren, is there any way to install it?
