Car in the video looks sweet, but I have to be honest, I've driven a lot of Crown Vics... and that doesn't sound like a Vic to me.

I'm digging the acceleration sound. Is this only for police and if it is, is there a way to make it work for the other police and sheriff cars such as replacing other audio files?

I know it can work with any other V8 sedan, but others maybe. I'd have to look. I know clipping has to be right in order for the sound to sound good.

Hey thanks! I've driven CVPI's and I know that that doesn't sound very close to a Vic, but I had some friends from a GTA clan watch my testing videos and they thought it was good. so what i'm gonna do is keep updating. I keep putting in different Vics accelerating but they don't sound like a Vic in game which i've noticed that I also need to replace more than the acceleration but the clipping has to be almost perfect in the audio files which is a pain. Im trying.\

You're right, they're not yellow. they're orange ;) I've driven and rode in a CVPI multiple times and the middle ones do light up

Very nice, love the whine of the tranny and/or rear end. I do have an ex cruiser 2009 Crown Vic the 4.6L and the interior is bang on. Just night quite the right engine sound. Overall excellent!

The starter dont sound the same, And the main thing its missing is the first gear whine.

Iv driven CVPI's for a long while and they all had that.. special 1st gear sound to it that i miss having a charger now

Well the starter is from GTAV but the rev after the car starts and chime is straight from a CVPI. Plus GTA 5 physics doesn't have different sounds for each gear. It plays the same audio file over and over. Trust me, I would have made sure there was a strong whine.  You can sort of hear it in my mod if you listen closely

How to install? Your description in the Readme confuses me. Have i to add the aoc file, or what? Or have i to replace a file. A better description would be good. There is no IMPORT button in OPEN IV. Only replace or the + for add!

1-Put the saloon_7_us_v8 folder and saloon_7_us_v8.oac somewhere on your computer

2-Now open OpenIV, make sure edit mode is on

3-go to GTA V > x64 > audio > sfx > STREAMED_VEHICLES_GRANULAR.rpf

4-right click in an empty space and click import openFormats, then go to the folder where you put the folder and file from step 1

5-load, and then you should be good :)

Well when it's put in the game, it's gonna sound different.

So this only works for the "Police" slot, not Police1/2/3 or Sherrif Cruiser? Also any way to make it louder? I am struggling to hear it, turning up game volume just makes all other traffic, peds talking, dispatcher audio louder also and still want to hear that V8 roar.

The audio file would have to be edited, not in game.  It's up to the author if he wants to improve the overall realism.  I sent him a new sound sample he may implement in the future, who knows! :)

I'm having the same problem making this mod work. Not sure how to fix it,
