This mod replaces the standards LEDs with new ones I made using a higher resolution texture. It improves the quality of the police cars' lightbars at long and close range.

This upload is at a beta stage.


Supported cars:
Vapid Interceptor | LSPD Buffalo | LSPD Cruiser | Sheriff Cruiser | Sheriff SUV


Tweaks may come to already supported cars

UPDATE 06/06/2015: We're now in the beta stage. This is the "Sheriff Update" adding support for the Sheriff Cruiser and Sheriff SUV. I also added support for the LSPD Cruiser. We have now 5 supported cars.

Installation - May vary with time
=======
1. Extract the files to a temporary location.
2. Copy "police2.ytd", "sheriff.ytd", "sheriff+hi.ytd", "sheriff2.ytd using OpenIV in the following file:
update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday3ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf
3. Copy "police3.ytd" using OpenIV in the following file:
update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday4ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf
4. Copy "police.ytd" using OpenIV in the following file:
x64e.rpf\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf\

You can also use the "mods" folder technique using OpenIV, see their website for more help on that

What's New in Version BETA 3.0

Released

- Fixed a bug with the download. The file should now be available to download.

- Added the "Single File" update. You can now use the mod while keeping your custom skins. See the ReadMe inside.

Just a headsup. Police3 removes your skin. So make sure you go into it and replace that. Otherwise your car will look like a crocodile -.-

Could you please elaborate? This mod wasn't updated in a little while and a best way to install it might be possible, I just
haven't looked into it yet.

Following the instructions, adding police3 into patchday4. The file you've supplied does not have a skin, either that or its not compatable with Lt Cains Police Interceptor which was just mapped to allow custom skins.

Yup that's totally possible, there weren't much custom skins when the mod was regularly updated.
I guess I'll release a small update with a separated file to be directly added to any .wtd so you guys can keep your custom skins :)

Yeah, I just reinstalled my previous mod/skins and then just extracted the lights etc into the .wtd file :)

Going to give it another go now.

If you get a message like this, just right click on it and hit "unblock". It's a common issue lately.

EDIT: Apparently there was a big problem with the download. I updated the file with the "Single File" update, and the download
should also be working now. Thanks!
