If I am right. This is the NYPD version of the SS2000.

Wail does. Yelp sounds nothing like the nypd and priority is a bit off.

i took it directly from a demo of the siren so it's straight up raw audio unlike most ss2000 sirens.  Probably where the descrepency comes in.

What's the difference between the smart siren the LAPD and NYPD uses. Slower tones ?

I don't think there is any.  FS uses the same tones for the 2000 across the board I think but not 100% sure.

Yeah I don't know why people keep saying " oh that's the NYPD siren," or " no that's the LAPD siren" well it's the same freaking tones.

Loving this siren, yes the SS2000 is a SS2000. I don't know how anyone could mistake NYPD and LAPD? Our local Dept. St Ann uses this one in their chargers so I hear it all the time!

Mmm ... are you sure ? They could be using different siren speakers and volume settings.

Well, the first video was recorded from inside the car, where the siren is suppressed and finer sounding because the camera is recording from behind the speaker so it's not  exposed directly to the Doppler effect.

The 2nd video shows a bystander recording the nypd cruiser responding past him. He is inside the siren speaker range so therefore he is exposed to higher frequency and pitch. The camera microphone doesn't always record the natural sounding of tones because the environment always has a factor in changing the quality of it.

I'm pretty sure it's the same the whole way through as far as sound goes, at least it sounds like it to me.  It's just the angle it was recorded at which changes the sound of any siren.

It's only for the Police Cruisers at the moment.  I will see if I can zip it up with my siren pack eventually to see if it works with FiB and Stanier cars.  If it goes over the limit then I won't be able to have it functioning on both.

Wow thanks everybody for download and enjoying the siren!  Never expected it to hit 1500 downloads this quick.

Shouldn't have.  Just verify your files via steam and you shouldn't have to reinstall.  Sounds like you missed a step or something since this is the exact same way everybody else has to install sirens...

If this is just a Siren mod, then why does it have normal vehicle audio paired with it in the folder, such as car horns, train noises, and wheel scraping... etc...

You should include a readme bro.  Or perhaps just a pathway for Open IV.  You would get even more trust me :)

One simple question. Why the hell you people decided to distribute your audio mods as .oac "openFormats" file instead of .awc?
Do you also distribute your models mods as 3Ds Max Scene (.max) or zm3 files? I guess not.
