Metiri's ANPR & Speed Radar 0.2.1

(8 reviews)

Installation

1.) Install Alexander Blade's ScriptHookV (http://gtaforums.com/topic/788343-vrel-script-hook-v/)

2.) Install Crosire's Community ScriptHookVDotNet (http://gtaforums.com/topic/789907-vrel-community-script-hook-v-net/)

3.) Download my mod, Metiri ANPR v0.2, which contains the following files:
    - ANPR.cs
    - ANPR.ini

4.) Place ANPR.cs & ANPR.ini into your "scripts" folder inside of your Grand Theft Auto V directory.

Defualt Controls (only controls so far):
NumPad5 - Activate/Deactivate mod
NumPad8 - Move radar further
NumPad2 - Move radar closer
NumPad4 - Move radar left
NumPad6 - Move radar right
NumPad7 - Move radar down (elevation)
NumPad9 - Move radar up (elevation)
NumPad1 - Flag Vehicle
NumPad3 - Scan area for flagged vehicles

INI File Specifics:
* KEYS
  - Rebind keys to whatever you want

* Settings
  - SnapToGround -> Snaps your marker to the ground. Still testing this... Doesn't work to well in tunnels or under overpasses. Set to true or false

  - MaxDistance -> How far you can send your radar. Could impact performace, haven't checked. Set to any positive integer

  - HighSpeed -> Determines the color of the speed text. If a car goes faster than whatever this is set to (along with your units) then the text turns red. If a car goes half that speed then it goes yellow. Anything lower and the text is white. Set to any positive integer. I haven't tried with low integers so there might be some bugs if you set it to something stupid like 0.

  - PercentageOfHit -> How likely you are to get a violations hit. Set between 0 and 100. Anything above 100 will probably result in you getting a lot of hits and that's no fun.

  - Units -> Speed units. Set to mph (miles per hour) or kph (kilometers per hour). Capitalization doesn't matter, so MpH or KPh is totally fine, but stupid.

* Advanced
  - TickInterval -> Don't fuck with this unless you know what you're doing.

Since it is a .cs file, you have to compile it yourself (see description in main)

where is a tutorial on how to "compile" i feel as if this is just someone trying to say the know how to compile yet they just want to look smart and not help the community. _best

It should also work if you just plop the ANPR.cs file into the "scripts" folder in your GTA V main installation (".../Grand Theft Auto V/scripts" - create it if you don't have one). You'll need to have the ScriptHook .NET (in addition to the regular ScriptHook) for it to work properly. You can download it at https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/scripthookv-net

If you want to compile it into a .dll, you can follow the instructions here (but this isn't really necessary, especially if you don't know what you're doing): http://stackoverflow.com/questions/553143/compiling-executing-a-c-sharp-source-file-in-command-prompt

are you sure you have the community scripthookdotnet? I'm in the process of converting this to rage hook so it'll be easier for people to use alongside LSPDFR. that won't be for a while though, since I have to learn it, but definitely in the foreseeable future :)

Hey I love this mod, but any chance we will ever see this mod be like the ALPR system GTA IV had? I hate having to manuever the red circle around especially for vehicles passing in the opposite lane.

For those unaware, ALPR in lcpdfr would pick up the closest vehicles to you, and it worked pretty well I never really had an issue with it.

Also it kind of breaks the immersion driving around and having to focus on the red circle rather than whats going on. Either way great job, I use this mod still every time I play.

EDIT: How about a way to make the red circle invisible but still keep it active?

My idea was to have the ALPR always running within a short radius of your vehicle and when you get a hit it'll highlight the car on your screen and on your mini map. Then have the speed radar do front and back speeds only (car in front, car in back), so you wont be able to get speeds of cars on your sides.

ORRRRR:

Do you personally (you, Pear), think you'd like having the red circle just be the speed radar and have the ALPR/ANPR be like what I just described?

I haven't used the speed radar yet, is it already implemented?

Anyway, yea I think that's a great idea

So could somebody please explain how we are supposed to get these two files to work?

So please excuse my ignorance - I'm new to apply mods and still trying to figure a lot of this out.

I installed the LCPDFR mod which included the RAGE script hook. It runs fine but I'm very keen to start adding additional mods like your really cool speed radar.

I follow the instructions to the letter but nothing happens when I hit NumPad 5 - is this because the RAGE script hook is installed? AFAIK its needed in order to launch the LCPDFR mod. I have the other two script hooks installed - do I need to some how 'activate' or turn them on prior to trying to run speed radar?

Hope that made sense - thanks for your help!!!

I wish the "spot" was covering a wider area, the other speed radar is even hidable under the ground and still does his job, so just putted that under the floor where the "eye for the ANPR" is on my car. But most importantly, I wish the licensplate/wanted/etc stuff all was linked up, not "car is wanetd (by license plate)" then if you do a licensplate check up it has no citations, nor the actual car owner.

Great idea though.

You also need a scripthook and .net scripthook, then you put both these files in x:/gamepath/GTA V/scripts/ and off you go (unless if you don't let the scripthooks (.net)'s dll's beeing loaded in RAGEPluginhook)
