Harris County Sheriff's Office Impala 1.0

(5 reviews)

7 Screenshots

This model is based on the older Impalas used by the Harris County Sheriff's Office in Houston, TX. I've also included a Liberty County Sheriff's Office livery.

This is my first model, so I decided to keep it simple and stick to something I'm familiar with. I've also released it unlocked since all the parts I used to make it are available as unlocked development resources. It's my ultimate goal to learn how to produce excellent quality content, so if anyone with more experience wants to send me a PM with some tips or feedback about what I've done well, and what I've done wrong, I gladly welcome the information.

I've also included my custom ELS textures with the download, as well as the default textures if you wish to switch them. My custom textures can be seen in the screen shots and video. Please remember that the custom textures are designed and tested to work on MY computer using MY ENB. I currently run a very high end computer and am using the CryENB available on lcpdfr.com with the preset for high end computers. If you choose to use my custom ELS textures, your experience may vary.

Here is a brief video showing an overview of the outside of the car, and my custom ELS textures.

Just letting you know, the secondary light on the back right side glitches out for me with ELS 8. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail. Very nice model though, just wish it could be slightly lower poly.

Will you be making or releasing the new liveries on the rest of the vehicles?

Thanks for letting me know. I'm currently working an updated version of this car that will feature some new things, as well as being optimized for ELS 8.

Taking my work schedule into consideration, version 2.0 of this vehicle should be ready sometime in August.

Hey bud, I want to make this abundantly clear... I'm not trying to rush anything here, just checking up on the model as it's honestly my favorite to date. I don't know what you did, but the lights are the perfect level of brightness with or without an ENB. Either way, any info on when you'll be releasing an updated model?

Well I downloaded the Crown Vic to try it out and wow... Just WOW it's amazing!!!!! You are definitely my new favorite modeler/texture artist!!! I have never had one of your models crash my game. Ever consider doing Montgomery County Texas? I know you're very busy just wondering :)
