Some callouts like "Domestic Violence" when they appear on the radio, I press Y to respond and they just instantly cancel and go Code 4.

Manche Rufe wie "häusliche Gewalt", wenn sie im Funk erscheinen, drücke ich Y, um zu antworten, und sie brechen sofort ab und wählen Code 4.

I'll take care of it, it will probably take a few days.

Hello LennyModVanta,

I have tried out your Callout pack today, and I wanted to share with you some things I have noticed. By no means am I a developer, but I have tested callout packs for nearly 5 years, so I do somewhat know how players:

1) Interact with callouts
2) Expect functionality-wise.

So below in the spoiler are all of the notes that I took whilst I played the pack, cleaned up by AI so that it is digestible... As English and grammar are not my calling.

If you have any questions, feel free to let me know.

1) Callout Wide Issues

  • Lack of spawn locations for callouts that use hand-selected locations

  • Lack of animations for peds when creating a scene

  • Lack of alternating outcomes (reduces replayability)

  • Lack of waypoints when a callout is accepted — forces the player to check the map manually

  • Issues with callouts failing to start due to invalid models or other errors

2) Callout Specifics

OFFICER DOWN CALLOUT

  • Scene was messy (+1 for ped being dead), but units on scene were just standing still (no animations)

  • First attempt: suspect could not be found

  • Search area does not update when the ped moves (if applicable)

  • Second attempt: suspect found, but upon apprehension the callout ends automatically and deletes the scene (should have manual end option)

  • Suspect matched correct description — would be useful to have a key/option to re-check the description

DRIVEBY CALLOUT

  • Attempted to start 4 times

  • 3 times failed due to an “invalid model” error (?)

  • 1 time it started, but only a ped was standing on the sidewalk (no scene or dialogue)

PROTEST CALLOUT

  • Needs significant work

  • Peds stand lifeless during a protest and are not blocking anything

  • Spawn locations appear random (e.g., protesting in an alleyway)

  • Peds with Molotovs never throw them

  • Takes too long for peds to escalate into a riot (appears broken)

HOMICIDE SCENE CALLOUT

  • No actual homicide scene present

  • On arrival, only a ped shooting at the player

  • Only appears to have two locations, both in Strawberry

DRUGS POSSESSION CALLOUT

  • Could not get it to load

DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE CALLOUT

  • No disturbance present

  • Only a lady standing in a driveway

SHOPLIFTING CALLOUT

  • Could not get it to load

VANDALISM CALLOUT

  • Ped appears to be leaning on nothing (air)

  • Ped is standing in the middle of the street

STREET RACE CALLOUT

  • Only one vehicle present

  • Instant pursuit makes catching the suspect harder

  • Suspect drives in circles around the player

WANTED PERSON SEARCH CALLOUT

  • Only two locations, both very close together

  • Suspect fell from the sky upon arrival

  • Other attempts: suspect could not be located

  • Search perimeter does not move

SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE SEARCH CALLOUT

  • Vehicle is stationary in the middle of the road

  • Spawn location does not update with the suspect

  • In 2/4 attempts, vehicle was outside the search area while stationary

  • No real interaction: no dialogue, suspect does not flee

GAS STATION ROBBERY CALLOUT (DAVIS)

  • Two peds spawn outside (not inside the store)

  • Upon arrival, they flee (at least functional)

ACTIVE SHOOTER CALLOUT

  • Suspect behaves as expected (actively shooting)

  • No issues noted

PURSUIT IN DAVIS CALLOUT

  • 3/4 attempts failed to launch

  • The one successful attempt did not occur in Davis

  • Feels like a generic pursuit callout

INTOXICATED PERSON CALLOUT

  • First callout with actual player-to-ped dialogue

  • Ped does not have a “drunk” flag (walks normally)

  • Dialogue says the ped is drunk in public, but location is inside a house/apartment

  • Ped simply walks away

  • Lack of varied outcomes

ARREST WARRANT CALLOUT

  • Strange AI radio dispatch lines

  • Reused locations from other callouts

  • Lack of varied outcomes

  • Otherwise functional

3) Takeaways

  • Good baseline overall, but requires significant polishing

  • Primary focus should be on:

    • Stability (callouts failing to start, invalid models)

    • Scene detail (animations, proper setup, immersion)

    • Gameplay depth (varied outcomes, proper escalation)

  • Recommendation: prioritize improving existing callouts rather than adding new ones

Its got good bones, as @Pupinia Stewart mentioned, however some callouts like the fare dodger are missing things, like the officer speech reading 'That is not legal'. I also encountered a few crashes whilst having this callout pack enabled, however that may be due to something else. I like the 'mundane' nature of some of these callouts, much more realistic to real policing, instead of constant car chases.

Overall, not bad but needs improvement.
