This is a replacement for StopThePed and Ultimate Backup. They cannot be used with this mod.
A lot of plugins require STP/UB and cause crashes without them. They will need to update.
Compulite does not work with this. Reports+ or External Police Computer are alternatives.

The new era of LSPDFR is here.

After two years of development, it's here. Policing Redefined is a LSPDFR plugin similar to popular plugins such as Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup by Bejoijo, LSPDFR+, or Arrest-Manager by Albo1125. It aims to provide an even more feature-rich and immersive experience to your LSPDFR Patrol, advancing ped and traffic stops as well as adding additional vehicle stops and on-foot traffic stops.
And that is just a small portion of what PR (Policing Redefined) has to offer!

Installation:

Extract the contents of the downloaded Policing Redefined v[VERSION].zip archive.
Drag-and-drop the contents of the "GTAV MAIN DIRECTORY" folder into your GTA 5 root directory.
Read the "Get Started" guide on our site

After installing your Settings/ folder will be empty, which is normal!
Go on duty at least once: PR will generate them then.

Features:

Policing Redefined has a ton of features which all cannot be listed here. However here is a rundown of the biggest:

Ped Interaction: Custom questioning menu, field sobriety tests, Front/Back cuffing, citations, and more.
Inventory Management: Store and bag evidence, test substances, replenish ammo, and more.
Backup: Call police, fire, and EMS with a full RTS style management menu to assign tasks to each unit.

First, this will be completely incompatible with Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup, and Compulite, it is recommended you remove them for the smoothest experience.

Second!

This is a BETA. This means that you may encounter bugs, crashes, weird behaviors, etc.

The mod itself works as intended. Any major breakages (e.g. the mod crashing on load), are likely due to user error.

PR has been rigorously tested for the past year by various testers and content creators, with no major issues that have yet to be patched.

Added to BackupSettings.ini:
- ExternalDispatchTowTruck: Set response code when requesting tow-truck outside of dispatch menu (plugins like GP, general/misc menu)
- ExternalDispatchPrisonerTransport: Set response code when requesting prisoner transport for arrested ped

Fixes

Custom .ini-parser for special characters support
K9 fight abort shouldn't kill ped anymore
Felony stop doesn't error upon clearing vehicle anymore
Felony stop now aborts when a pursuit starts
Putting suspect in vehicle (player & prisoner transport) now only uses passenger doors
- PR will display it when prisoner transport notices that no door to enter could be found.
  If that's the case for you (and the vehicle isn't full of passengers) then it is a vehicle model issue. Use a different one!

Better animation playing (hopefully less random canceling)
Normal dismiss now skips walking tasks of backup peds
Made cops slightly more aggressive (more peaking, shooting, advancing)

To update, you only need to replace your DLL and PDB files.
To utilize some search items fixes, you can replace the appropriate XML files too — though it's not required and NOT recommended if you already have custom ones.

This mod is awesome. Just one improvement request, could you make it so that the flashlight stays on even when not aiming down sights with weapons?

For those that are interested. This mod does indeed work with the liberty city mod the preservation project I tested it today and works on the new game config and works on version 3586 of gta v .

I just wanted to let y'all know that the reason for no updates are because I am rewriting it from the ground up.

A lot of the PR codebase is already 2 years old and does not meet my standards anymore. Some bad design choices etc. make it difficult to fix bugs without creating new ones and add new features.

The rewrite is necessary to make PR future-proof, maintainable and sustainable. Since PR has around 40k lines of code I think it's understandable that it's very time-consuming to rewrite.

The good news with that is that once the rewrite is done, y'all can look forward to new features and hopefully a generally more stable plugin. Other developers will have access to new APIs to make them work even better with PR and overall improve your gameplay.

Stay tuned! And thank you for the support, it's great to see that PR has grown a bit already.

Small update on this: I have since posted two WIPs on our discord, including a new feature that was requested by you, the community. So if you don't want to miss out on those, feel free to join the discord! 😄

how do i issue a ticket? it says issue citation from mdt and when i do that it says "no citation was prepared".

Hi so since i changed to this mod the thing that the ambulance transport people on has just gone crasy and one of the ambulances to. I think it is in the settings with rotation ect but it ends up with one paramedic is under the world. I will put the settings file please help and try to loctade the wrong and also what to type in so it gets like the normal. And the ambulances are on the same side but like inverted or smth and they arent like usual like one at the front and back of the sleeper.

Hey man, great mod! The only issue I’m having is it doesn’t seem like I’m getting any notifications of observing behavior like DUI/nervousness.

I think in the 4 or so hours I’ve use PR, it’s only appeared during one traffic stop. Is this normal? Or is it something I need to change in the settings?

I must say it’s been fun playing this mod but it’s time to move back to stop the ped and ultimate backup and compulite. It’s got potential your mod but the constant crashing is doing my head in . I go to arrest a ped or crashed, I go on foot chase run round courner or crashed, call an ambulance select paramedic pr crashes. Sorry until it’s sorted I’m going back to old school mods at least they don’t crash

Your game is likely just unstable af anyways because most people do not have the issues that you complain about. I believe it's caused by peds randomly stopping to exist which is caused by bad plugins/scripts messing heavily with the game world (SHVDN scripts, or so called "gameplay fxes", ...). Those errors will be prevented better in the rewrite but it won't fix your broken game.
It really seems like due to the amount of times you complain here and say that you are switching back to the old plugins you are just trying to pressure me into getting that rewrite out faster. I am the ONLY maintainer of this mod and I have a LIFE outside of this. This is literally a hobby I do on the side.

Noone is stopping you from switching back to the other plugins. Go back and stop with this nonsense, thank you. I can assure you that I am working hard on getting the next big version out, I just don't have the resources to do it within a very short time.

does anyone knows why, during any chase, when calling in the chase itself. No flashing red and blue circle appears on the map, it works when not using the mod itself.

To get the Partner Arrest the suspect. Press Shift+B or Ctrl+B(I don't remember which one).

another issue is they are not independet att al so if you dont have time to go trhu menu or remember shortcuts its an issue

I don't understand what you are trying to say but F4 has nothing to do with PR. And you said "not in Rage Hook". PR and Lspdfr works only when GTAV is launched with RPH and loaded with LSPDFR.

got a question, i'm trying to install. But for the pr configs i got to install and i don't see the plugins folder under lspdfr folder to install the pr configs. I am roughly newer to this, just tryna get some help since google doesn't help directly. Screenshot 2026-01-04 103249.png

You should just drag and drop the plugins and lspdfr and Irrklang.dll that is inside the Policing Redefined.zip-GTA Main Directory into the main game directory (GTAV Main Folder). And your EUPFR Basic is also not installed correctly

you have to choose preint. i think mike of blueline vibe showcase that. check him out.
