This is a replacement for StopThePed and Ultimate Backup. They cannot be used with this mod.
A lot of plugins require STP/UB and cause crashes without them. They will need to update.
Compulite does not work with this. Reports+ or External Police Computer are alternatives.

The new era of LSPDFR is here.

After two years of development, it's here. Policing Redefined is a LSPDFR plugin similar to popular plugins such as Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup by Bejoijo, LSPDFR+, or Arrest-Manager by Albo1125. It aims to provide an even more feature-rich and immersive experience to your LSPDFR Patrol, advancing ped and traffic stops as well as adding additional vehicle stops and on-foot traffic stops.
And that is just a small portion of what PR (Policing Redefined) has to offer!

Installation:

Extract the contents of the downloaded Policing Redefined v[VERSION].zip archive.
Drag-and-drop the contents of the "GTAV MAIN DIRECTORY" folder into your GTA 5 root directory.
Read the "Get Started" guide on our site

After installing your Settings/ folder will be empty, which is normal!
Go on duty at least once: PR will generate them then.

If you don't already have them, download and install these

Features:

Policing Redefined has a ton of features which all cannot be listed here. However here is a rundown of the biggest:

Ped Interaction: Custom questioning menu, field sobriety tests, Front/Back cuffing, citations, and more.
Inventory Management: Store and bag evidence, test substances, replenish ammo, and more.
Backup: Call police, fire, and EMS with a full RTS style management menu to assign tasks to each unit.

First, this will be completely incompatible with Stop The Ped, Ultimate Backup, and Compulite, it is recommended you remove them for the smoothest experience.

Second!

This is a BETA. This means that you may encounter bugs, crashes, weird behaviors, etc.

The mod itself works as intended. Any major breakages (e.g. the mod crashing on load), are likely due to user error.

PR has been rigorously tested for the past year by various testers and content creators, with no major issues that have yet to be patched.

Added to BackupSettings.ini:
- ExternalDispatchTowTruck: Set response code when requesting tow-truck outside of dispatch menu (plugins like GP, general/misc menu)
- ExternalDispatchPrisonerTransport: Set response code when requesting prisoner transport for arrested ped

Fixes

Custom .ini-parser for special characters support
K9 fight abort shouldn't kill ped anymore
Felony stop doesn't error upon clearing vehicle anymore
Felony stop now aborts when a pursuit starts
Putting suspect in vehicle (player & prisoner transport) now only uses passenger doors
- PR will display it when prisoner transport notices that no door to enter could be found.
  If that's the case for you (and the vehicle isn't full of passengers) then it is a vehicle model issue. Use a different one!

And many other small bug fixes, either too small to be their own line, or just missed.

Improved response/parking AI
Better animation playing (hopefully less random canceling)
Normal dismiss now skips walking tasks of backup peds
Made cops slightly more aggressive (more peaking, shooting, advancing)

To update, you only need to replace your DLL and PDB files.
To utilize some search items fixes, you can replace the appropriate XML files too — though it's not required and NOT recommended if you already have custom ones.

I previously mentioned I'm working on a CompuLite alternative but it's far from done. Use R+, EPC or PoliceMenu in the mean time (or whatever else is compatible)

Unfortunately, I also have to report two bugs.

1) I can no longer get in as a driver after a certain time. This only applies when I'm on patrol with an AI partner – I can still get in the back and passenger side.

2) If I've arrested someone (handcuffed) and AI partners or backup units immediately join them, the prisoner is suddenly left without handcuffs until the AI has completed the arrest (so everything repeats itself), only then can I interact with the person again.
Perhaps there are already solutions for this?

Please report bugs via the discord. The first thing is already known but I don't understand the 2nd.

Is there any "deploy Spike strip" button or feature? Because i think i saw in a PR menu says "Deploy Stop Sticks"or "Deploy Spike Strip/s"(maybe there isn't, I don't remember)

Will there be any Roadblock Backup?

The plugin is good, but it's missing a lot of features from the bejojo plugins and others that worked with bejojo plugins, like the fines. When it's complete, I'll use it again. I'm too used to bejojo plugins. Thanks

You need to use a computer plugin compatible with PR (ReportsPlus, EPC, PoliceMenu). A CompuLite alternative is in the works.

And I will increase the entering speed in a future update

Spike strips can be deployed either by opening a patrol vehicle trunk and selecting Spike Strips or by using the quick spike strips hotkey (check InteractionSettings.ini) near a patrol vehicle.

And no, we have purposefully decided against roadblocks because it's not realistic. We encourage to use spike strip backup

Which features is it missing? Computer stuff just doesnt belong into PR which is why there are separate plugins (ReportsPlus, EPC, PoliceMenu) and a CompuLite alternative is in the works.

And im not responsible for other plugins. The devs need to make them compatible with PR, I have no control over that. Im sure if you reach out to the devs and request PR compatibility they will consider it, if they haven't already 🙂

Ive tried to skim through the comments and see if anyone has had a problem/fix for my issue but none seen or I overlooked it. Anyways, when in a pursuit and I call for backup, if I get ahead of them by a decent ways or if I get the ped stopped and arrested before they get there, they always have their lights and siren off and never turn them on when they get out. Theyll have lights and siren on if they are with me during the pursuit but only then. Any fixes??

LSPDFR probably turns it off when the pursuit ends; I guess PR has to forcefully re-enable it

Why don't we have the option to call a taxi and uber for the ped? Also, we don't have the option to call insurance and select how peds for prisoner transport.

I cannot tell you the keybinds because they are configurable, you can literally change them to be the same as e.g. STP if you are used to that. You need to learn them like with every mod?

whenever im in pursuit and i call for backup, they spawn 100ft in front of me, facing the wrong way, and almost always causes a collision. where can i edit the spawn distance for pursuit backup as i didnt see it in the "backupsetting" xml?

Hi I need some help!

installed this today and obviously removed ultimate backup as well as stoptheped.

I am encountering a weird issue though. When i leave UB and STP installed the game will launch but obviously there are some major issues due to both being installed.

When i do remove both UB and STP the game wont load at all. Gets frozen on a black screen attempting to unload LSPDFR for some reason. I already tried launching the game with no plugins loaded but once i try to go on duty I get a crash.

Obviously, i can give some sort of log if you want but was curious if this sounded like a similar issue to you at all?
