O.D.A.S

The Officer Discharge Alert System is an immersive and realistic mod for LSPDFR that enhances the gameplay experience for players simulating law enforcement duties. This system mimics real-life firearm discharge alert systems used in police departments to improve situational awareness and officer accountability. The mod automatically triggers an alert whenever the player (officer) fires their issued service weapon.

ODAS now features four unique sound files that are triggered as soon as the system detects a firearm discharge.

These sounds are recorded from an active, real-world police radio system.

Who do you want by your side when things get messy? Local units, NOOSE, EMS, or firefighters – the choice is yours.

From backup delays to unit preferences and response codes, tailor ODAS to fit your needs.

Oh, and almost forgot – you can set cooldown times, quickly toggle ODAS, and even manage alert sounds!

What's New in Version 1.5.2 [TE]

Update notes & Information

 

This is a minor patch that is not mandatory to install but is highly recommended. It includes improvements and bug fixes that enhance the overall performance and user experience. Installing this update ensures that you are up to date with the latest improvements.

 

New Features and Enhancements:
 

  • Added an option to customize the menu key (can be changed directly in the menu, and this is the only recommended method).
  • Added a separate sound file folder (sound files are no longer stored in the resident folder).
  • Encourage users to modify the sound files (edit or replace them as much as you like, although the original files work great with Blueline).
     

Improvements:
 

  • Fixed some minor problems with spawning backups.
  • Fixed the assembly version showing 1.0.0 instead of 1.5.X (Thanks Michael21107)
  • Added trademark notice and updated EULA.

Patch 1.5.1 is awaiting approval and should be released in an hour or two. This patch addresses almost all the current issues, including the crash issue. It will also introduce new features.

    Would be cool to add a way so when the discharge alert happens the traffic control stops traffic in your area to preserve the scene right away

    Here is some advice seeing as this plugin is growing quickly:

    Ini parser is not needed. RPH includes an INI system. 

     

    You do not check if RNUI is installed or up to date. Best practice is to do so when you immediately launch a menu on load.
    You do some wild stuff like this

    audio is not playing for some reason and in the ini it says which backup will arrive i just wanted the audio from dispatch but no back up

    I had no problem getting mod to work. After trying it out I have to say that I don't like it  😐   - I LOVE IT. This is the mod I didn't even know I was missing in my lineup. Nice work sir.

    I'm having a crash issue  with ODAS... I'm not sure why. I've never done it before.

    Loving this mod so far! Not had any issues with it yet. One question, how do I respond to dispatch to say I don't require backup?

     

    Suggestions:

     

    -Have the option to not trigger ODAS when firing the stun
