[ELS] Los Angeles County Fire - Lifeguard truck - LORE-FRIENDLY INCLUDED 1.0.0

(4 reviews)

16 Screenshots

Important: I've seen a few people not do this, maybe a lack of GTA knowledge on tint and pearlescent paint? Anyway when spawning SET THE PAINT TO CLASSIC BLACK in a trainer, and also TURN WINDOW TINT ON AND OFF otherwise the lightbar corners and headlight/taillights will be black and the red paint will look stupid with Rockstar's dumb yellow tint.

This is a 2019 Toyota Tundra based on the Los Angles County Fire Department Lifeguards, this originally was going to be a private build for myself but a few people wanted me to release it, so here.

Included is a Los Angeles County version and also a Los Santos County version, which was requested.

Not too much going on with it, it's a pretty basic build.

Before any major LA fan yells at me, yes I am aware it has the wrong lightbar. I am using a Whelen Liberty I not a Liberty II, because I'm not paying for a Liberty II, which I can't even afford right now, just for this build. Be grateful I'm using Roegon's paid Lib I.

One last thing, before anyone comments it, the screenshots are not duplicated. They are in the exact same place/time/angle but if you look at it, one is LA, one is LS.

Good one, finally a real La LifeGuard vehicle rather than the old granger, so the Tacoma is more frequently used in real life, while the Tundra is a good one, a good one for the lifeguard

Thanks, I had much the same opinion about to good LA Lifeguard trucks, always seeing that yellow Granger in my LA installs I thought was strange when I could just make an LA one. About the Tacoma being more used IRL, I only found a DEV model of a Tundra so used that.

Excellent - was thinking about taking this project on myself.

LOVE IT! Finally a realistic lifeguard replacement. One minor thing, how would we go about making this 4x4?

That would most likely be vehicle.meta or handling.meta, for replace cars Rockstar has too many of those in the game files for me to identify which is used.

Why not?

I mean Rockstar makes the same choices in many cases. The default sheriff ped has a bullet proof vest reading "POLICE", the default Highway Patrol peds say "SAHP" and "San Andreas Highway Patrol" in voice lines, but their patch reads "Los Santos Highway Patrol", the SAHP/LSHP use a motorbike with the LS city seal and not the state, it also says "POLICE".

Also the Lifeguard only spawns in Los Santos anyway.

What's a good handling ID for this vehicle? or does the default one work fine?
