If its anything like SimpleHUD, the ReadMe from that mod says, "For simplehud.ytd go to mods > update > update.rpf > x64 > textures > script_txds.rpf in OpenIV and place it inside there make sure edit mode is on." So I would imagine this is the same through OpenIV. @Venoxity please correct me if I'm wrong.

Addition to my comment. You just put simplemenu.ytd in that directory and delete the simplehud.ytd, then you're good to go

It definitely is for me. I tried the link from here and SimpleHUD and both give me this message.

Could contain: text, screenshot, multimedia software, software, graphics software, operating system, computer icon, graphic design

Newest version (v1.0.3) crash on startup, older version v1.0.2 no issues.

Disregard, forgot to replace the simplehud.ytd. Very disappointed in myself 🙂

Goodafternoon,
I used this plugin before the update and everything worked fine. Now No blinker, I tried switching keys. Doesn't work for me. Door wouldnt open when using the menu, Some vehicle trunk and hood would just fall back down after opening them. I wonder if I did something wrong.

Hi @Venoxity, I noticed that there is a texture file included. Where does that file go within OpenIV? I have attached a screenshot of what I'm talking about.

Thank You,

Question. I downloaded the file and placed SimpleCTRL and .dll into GTAV main directory >>> plugins w/common.dll, audio, and Newtonsoft into the main directory. I also placed the simple hud that came with it into openiv.

so what did I do wrong?

So a few things from me -

First off, love the mod, think the name of it does it a disservice as its so many things in one and, I found it by accident when searching for a speedometer - despite having SimpleHUD installed already! Love the fuel element and the GPS - gives me proper GTAIV vibes, back in the days of talking SatNavs!

Second thing, I think the install instructions need a refresh, at the moment they just reference putting a file in the plugins folder and then doing the open IV bit but I don't think they're detailed enough and don't talk about all the files included. I also noticed an issue where I couldn't use CompuLite as the mouse wouldn't work, however, fixed that as per the below. I'd suggest changing the included instructions to:

"1) Copy all files from the 'Grand Theft Auto V' folder into your GTAV root directory.

2) (open IV bit here as is - think that's fine.)

3) If you use CompuLite or anything similar where you need your mouse to navigate menu screens, ensure "DisableMenuMouse = false" in the Default.ini file." *(*May be worth renaming the .ini to SimpleCTRL.Ini so its easy to reference for users in future*)*.

Final couple of things - I did have a crash when I navigated through to the 'petrol station' on Vespucci Beach near Vespucci Canals. Not sure if this is because there isn't a petrol station, or if the nav had a funny five, but its been stable other than that. I also noticed when using 'CompuLite' that the fuel bar stayed in position, and that when the map expands (pressing 'Z'), the icons don't move with the map and therefore they're in the way of the map in its expanded view.

As I say though, love the mod it offers so much extra to the game with the fuel, mechanic shops to fix the vehicle, SatNav audio, lovely stuff. Keep it up.
