Why should you care? Its not your mod. Besides, if he made the helicopter, then I am sure no one else could make a skin exactly for it because he hasn't ever released it till now

I wish there was a vote down button for other peoples comments on here. It would be helpful. First off, it is simply a little helicopter model... Who cares? My view is, don't go overboard... Sure, I understand someone may want credit for there work, but it is just a computer model... no huge deal people. If you upload your models, then upload them completely to share you creativity... Don't share your creativity with limitations. That just stifles another persons ability to build off of your work... I.E This guy who made a helicopter skin.

People volunteer they're own time and money towards these models. Modeling from scratch is very difficult and if you were to buy a pre-made model to convert; it'd be very, very expensive. These people do deserve credit for their work.

You upload your work to share it, not so that others can upload it in their name. Hours of time are spent on this stuff and all we have is our credit we get online. And we like to upload it and share it where we want, not where others want. Its different if permission was given to freely distribute but in this case it hasn't been. It shouldn't matter if its a "simple helicopter model", a pair of handcuffs, or a mobile command station, if the author wants to control where its uploaded I think he should have that right. Thats why most modelers put "please do not upload/distribute this model without written consent"... and people wonder why there aren't as many cars being released these days. Granted the model is from BPM(or at least bpm claims its his), and he's leaving so it probably wouldn't matter and he would probably give permission but its just the idea of it. People who haven't spent hours and hours working on a model can easily say, "it shouldn't matter who uploads it" but go and make a few models, come back and then tell me if you still feel the same way

Instead of the witch-hunt, could someone tell me exactly what the problem is here?

I understand what you're saying. Why don't these creators who want credit, form a website and make there models for purchase? I wouldn't mind paying $5, $10, etc for a download that is well made and the lighting package has been clearly planned out for coverage, etc. Instead of setting this long list of limitations so people know you made it, get payment for it. If you pay for a model... you're only stupid in some ways to give it for free. I would think that would make you have a grudge to release your stuff. I would rather pay you money for a car, review the quality of your work, then bow to you for making it...

Just to let people know the author of the helicopter has left the modding community. And when I downloaded the mod it did not say that "Please dont redistribute this" or whatever but i went ahead and gave the author of the helicopter anyways

You did nothing wrong Baehman, just ignore all those other people that want to stick their face in your business, if the author has not written place anywhere that says "Dont reupload" then your fine. The helicopter looks great by the way great job!

thanks and To commander lambert- they dont have a black version and the helicopter they do have is kinda lame so i decided to come up with a skin for my clan pack cause i have a wichita police department clan but anyways i took some time creating a unique skin and i decided to release the helicopter model with the skin on it so that i could see what people thought about my skin
