What's up Guys! Here's another simple modified visual file for those of you who enjoy patrol cars with rotating lights like I do!
This mod makes the rotating light effects on the ground and surrounding buildings brighter and further away.

ELS fixes this for LED lights, but I always thought rotators didn't reflect on buildings far enough away, so I modified the carcols.ymt to make them POP.

You can't really see it in the screenshots, but you can check out the video link below to give you an idea.

 

To install, simply extract carcols.ymt contained in this download at the following path:

 

mods\update\update.rpf\x64\data

 

MAKE SURE YOUR CARS WITH ROTATORS HAVE SIRENSETTINGS SET TO 13 IN YOUR CARVARIATION.META


Make sure you backup the original file before you install the new one.

I have NOT tested this carcols.ymt with any visual mod like VisualV or
Make Visual Great Again so I don't know how it will affect your game
if you already have one of those (or any other like them) installed,
hense why you should make a backup of yours before installing this.

    Love the effort and it works but for one vehicle of mine whenever I install this the whole rotator lightbar just doesn't light up at all neither does it rotate, any fix?

    Did you set the right sirensetting in the carvariation.meta? it has to be 13 for rotators.

    That's figured now dude but any idea how I can tweak the file so that the light can reflect farther away. It rotate reflects on the floor next to the vehicle so how to get it to reflect on buildings or more far away from the vehicle

    There's no way to do it that looks good. Not with carcols. I tried amping it WAYYY up, it reflected off the buildings, but it looked bad on the ground. I tried going half&half on this file.

    If your car is a mix of ELS lights and Rotators, you can get a ELS light amplifier and it makes it a little better.
