@Alex_Ashfold is releasing his own, official settings for the new EUP update, which you can download below. While his configuration is not complete (for example, Blaine County is not a configured agency), he says that updates will come and there is a much greater effort and attention to detail to his configurations than what my automatically generated files can provide.

If you can't wait, you can copy only the outfits files from the official release and edit the station, backup, and agency files appropriately. The hardest part has still be done for you.

 

 

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION

I have taken all of the preset outfits from EUP Menu and converted them to configs for LSPDFR 0.4, including updating the agencies so that NPCs will spawn with EUP outfits.

 

Installation

Extract into your GTA V/lspdfr/data/custom folder. Make sure both EUP mods are installed (install LEO first, then SAR):

You may need to back up the stations.xml file in lspdfr/data and rename and move stations_eup.xml from the custom folder to fully replace it. It doesn't look like the current version of LSPDFR supports overwriting stations.

 

Frequent Issues

Peds are spawnings with the wrong outfits (weird hats, parachutes, etc.):

EUP is likely not installed correctly. Try reinstalling EUP (make sure to install LEO first, then SAR) and following the troubleshoot steps on the EUP support page, namely:

The menu says I don’t have EUP installed. What gives?
1.    Ensure the eup folder is in update/x64/dlcpacks.
2.    Check your dlclist.xml in update/update.rpf/common/data/ for the following line:
<Item>dlcpacks:\eup\</Item>
It should be towards the end of the file. If you don’t see it, add it.

When selecting certain uniforms weird clothing with invisible torsos appears instead

In your mods folder check your dlclist.xml located in Grand theft auto V/mods/update/update.rpf/common/data extract the file on your desktop (or anywhere you want) and then make sure all the dlc lines are there (compare with the original dlclis.xml located in Grand theft auto V/update/update.rpf/common/data)

 

 

 

My game is crashing when using these configs (access violation exception):

Converting configs

If you would like to generate your own outfits file based on an existing EUP Menu outfits file, you can find my script on Github.

Place the python script where your EUP Menu outfit .ini file is. You may need to edit the `read()` function on line 27 to match your file's name.

 

I have also made a script for converting from LSPDFR configs to UltimateBackup configs.

In fact, the exception only occurs after all the settings are loaded and the game is spawning you in. I wonder if it's trying to load your character using an older, no longer existing outfit and that is causing the issue. Trying going to the characters folder and moving your character out so that it doesn't try to load it.

The exception definitely occurs while trying to load agency_eup.xml. Please post that file with your modifications. What text editor are you using to modify the files?

they weren't blocked or read only.

 

here is the two files i edited, and i use "xml copy editor" to edit them.

I'm sorry, I can't find any errors with your XML files. Have you tested every single vehicle you added? Try maybe adding vehicles one by one till it stops working. I use modified versions of these files myself, so editing them should be working.

yes i tested the vehicles i have, I don't understand why it is throwing error on them, this is very frustrating.

Currently i use the police old slots for highway patrol and with ultimate backup they used to respond as back up units for highway as they should.

Well, for a workaround, Ultimate Backup has been released for 0.4 and still uses a separate config file and not the 0.4 backup API. So you can use the unmodified agency_eup.xml for the locker room and Ultimate Backup for the response units. The peds won't have EUP uniforms, but you'll get your vehicles.

 

When I get home, I'll try messing around with different config settings and see if I can recreate your error.

Hey, is there a list of the components/props and their textures? Or is it just trial and error with modifying the outfits.xml and checking ingame? Also, is it possible to add standalone uniforms without overwriting existing files?

I'm not aware of any such list, sorry.

The custom folder supports adding new files to add to/override (if the script name is identical) the defaults without affecting other custom files or modifying the default files themselves. Just copy any of the files and change the _suffix (e.g., agency_suffix.xml) and you can have as many as you'd like.

When I call any SWAT or NOOSE or FBI etc. backup I see a graphic bug in the Vehicle how can I fix it? But great mod!!!!!! 😄

its eup same issues. i dont think it can be fixt. even our caracters does it when you move camera away

I debugged it myself, the comments at the top of presetoutifts.ini was throwing the script off. thanks!

Is this going to be a possibility? With being able to have a agency and fleet for every little town if you want, need some custom badges. Im trying to make xml files with the agencies already established for their regions and just wanted to be sure I could not customize the peds for those agencies. Thanks.

If the official release of EUP updates, I wouldn't be surprised if they just released outfit files with it themselves. If someone comes up with an EUP addon that puts them in, I'd gladly help you edit the files yourself, but I'll keep this release to the outfits included by default.

Ok, all a great big headache for me thinking about it, I think Ill just make the file and use whatever peds are in by default lol. Cant have it all in a short period lol.

that has no effect, at least for me and my situation, i have had that disabled since the second time i launched .4 due to the texture loss issues caused by the ambient cops.
