Requirements:

  • (Optional) Darkmyre's Search Warrant or Stop The Ped

 

Features

 

  • Ped Observation
    • Get observations for any ped
      • Automatic traffic stop observations for all occupants
      • Gets status of ped including mood, behavior, and signs of intoxication
  • [NEW] Lite Menu Based Computer System
    • Run record checks, issue citations, summons, and create arrest reports with the new computer system
    • Fully integrated with the rest of this plugin
    • Customizable XML files for charges and citations
      • IMPORTANT! Do not edit/add any new main root entries (eg direct descendants of the "Main" root). They will not be recognized by my plugin
        • You can only add/edit entries under these roots with the "Charge" name
  • Traffic Stop Questions
    • [NEW] Traffic stop questioning menu, replaces default LSPDFR+ one
      • To use, approach a car on a traffic stop and press the interaction key (default "Y") to open the menu
      • You can:
        • Ask the driver for their license and proof of insurance
          • If the driver has no license, a suspended license, or warrants, there is a chance they will refuse to identify themselves to you, which is arrestable.
        • Ask for passenger's identification
        • Tell the driver the reason for pulling them over (27 default reasons so far, just comment any more ideas you have and I will try to add them)

          • "Where are you headed?"
          • "Where are you coming from?"
          • "Is the address on your license current?"
          • "Do you own this vehicle?"

          • "Is there anything illegal in the car?"

        • Most question's answers will depend on the ped's mood/intoxication level

  • Evidence
    • Store any evidence you find in any police vehicle
    • View stored evidence
    • Drop off stored evidence at any police station, marked by a "stash" icon on the map (pot leaf blip next to police stations)
  • Field Narcotics Test Kits
    • Narcotics stored in your evidence can be tested using reagent test kits in your trunk
      • Positive tests are automatically stored in evidence
      • Automatically recognizes when you store drugs in evidence and makes them available for testing
        • Drugs are not always what they seem, e.g. sometimes what you think is meth will turn out to be PCP or cocaine
      • If you use one of the custom XML files, these phrases are currently recognized by evidence storage as able to be tested:

        • "tan" or "brown powder"

      • Phencyclidine Reagent (PCP)
      • Ehrlich's Reagent (LSD)
    • Custom narcotics.xml for DarkMyre's Search Warrant and PoliceSearch adds more options for unidentified drugs such as: "white powder", "suspicious crystals", etc
  • Automatic Pursuit Updates
    • When in a pursuit, will automatically give information on the speed and direction that the suspect vehicle is heading.
    • Also gives details on traffic condition such as light, medium, or heavy (togglable)
  • [NEW] Integrated Lite Court System
    • Upon creating an arrest report, a court case will automatically be generated for the arrest
    • There is a customizable amount of time between the arrest date and court date in the .ini file
    • Active court cases options
      • View name, charges, court date, and force early case hearing
    • Past court cases options
      • View name, charges, sentence, and delete one or all entries
    • Sentences depend on severity and amount of charges
    • [!!!IMPORTANT!!!] Due to the new court system, the XML structure of the Charges.xml has changed, adding a new attribute called "life" to every charge. If life is set to true, that charge can carry a life sentence.
      • You must update old customized XML files to include this attribute for every charge or use the new ones provided, otherwise the game will crash
    • [Coming Soon] Evidence system integration

 

Known Bugs:

  • Sometimes arrested peds will leave the backseat of your vehicle and try to drive away. No known fix but to grab them and put them back in the vehicle. Probably a plugin interaction.
    • Have not had happen to me in a while, please report for v2.2.1 if you encounter. Possibly fixed


Installation:

  1. Copy the "Plugins" folder to your main GTA V directory.
  2. Pick an XML to use depending on what search plugin you have for added realism! (not required)
  3. Enjoy!

- I've had no crashes myself with 2.2.0.

- The court system works great. Simple yet effective. I can now uninstall the unfortunately buggy LSPDFR+ which I've only kept for the court system.

- The lite computer system is nice however I do miss the tablet function that comes with Computer+ - any chance of seeing something similar implemented here? Would be nice to remove Computer+ altogether.

- I believe you mentioned that not being able to issue citations/charges from inside our vehicle is an intended feature? Is there any chance of that being changed so we can?

 

- Two issues so far:

1. I think it's already been reported, however suspects placed in your vehicle exit when storing evidence.

2. Nine drivers out of ten seem to be high 😕

I am still having that issue with the record checks not working properly, as some of them still do not give a driver/vehicle return, resulting in the computer not working. Tried to fix it by reloading LSPDFR, had a game crash when reloading. I took out LSPDFR+, as that was supposedly causing issues for other people.

 

A second issue is the computer not deleting vehicle entries.

The first one is easily avoidable (though it never happened to me) by collecting evidences first, than placing the suspect in the car.

The first log is from version 2.2.0, as for the second, it looks like a common LSPDFR crash from a ped that has despawned or become invalid somehow, which can just happen randomly in gameplay. Do you have LSPD5 installed by chance?

I will look into the computer not deleting vehicles, I have no idea what's causing the record checks to fail. Since there are no errors related to it in your log file, I'm assuming its failing to call the native for the pedheadshots, or may be taking a while to register them and thus getting stuck in an infinite loop waiting for the headshot to load. I may add an option to disable this feature for people who have this problem. Can you make arrest reports without an error?

Its not that you can't issue citations to peds after they are arrested, its that you can't hand them a paper citation while they are handcuffed in the back of your vehicle. You can still create a citation in the computer system for the ped, you simply can't issue it to them on scene. In the future it will still be attached to their record at time of creation once I add past charges/citations for peds. As for the evidence storage, its an unfortunate interaction with StopThePed where if you press the "E" key while typing evidence, the ped will get out at command of STP. Its on my list of stuff to do to block input to plugins in the evidence menu.

 

The intoxicated peds is a function of Traffic Policer and not my plugin, however my .ini file has a configurable option to lower the amount of intoxicated peds that you encounter called "IntoxicationModifier". It is a number between 0 and 1, 1 being default traffic policer values, and 0 being no intoxicated peds at all. 0.5 would be half the intoxicated peds

I can make arrest reports without issues most of the time. However, sometimes they will not load; this seems to only be if I call for a PT or wrecker (both through STP) before doing the report. If I do the report first, then there are no issues.

Ok I have run into the issue where Interaction+ doesn't work anymore. I was unable to use both T menu to access my storage etc and Y menu wasn't bringing up the computer. A simple ReloadAllPlugins fixed this and is a work around for but obviously this is an issue. The time it happens is around sometime before and/or around 9:36 and I was unable to get Interaction+ to work again without having to ReloadAllPlugins in console.

Looks like you're using the old version 2.2.0, I would update to 2.2.1 and see if you can repeat the problem

I've managed to replicate the same bug. It's still happening. Can't access computer or T menu. I will upload a video asap as well so you can see what I do ingame. log should be attached but I don't think it shows anything. Uploading a video to youtube now but it's going to take a couple hours as my internet is poo.

@sssneaky is the crash your talking about where the menu and interaction randomly stop working? I have had that happen a few times to me where Ill run a record check and then nothing happens and then the buttons no longer work. @Phaxol Is this something your aware of?

HI, i added the plugins to the right spot whenever i make a traffic stop and walk up to the car  lspdfr crashes, i checked the top where it says crashes and tired all the crash fixes not sure what to do i added search warrent like it said and i have darkmyreAPI and its fully updated please help me, new to this stuff any help will be appreciated

It is two separate systems, both mods are compatible and work together but I have been hearing that LSPDFR+ has been causing crashes for some people recently

    If you have a log file of this issue happening as well, post it here and I can better narrow down the problem. I think I know the source but its better to be sure

    @Phaxol you are my hero! I love this mod. With the new court system I can finally remove LSPDFR+. You also fixed that annoying bug where the passangers would take the car and leave when ordering the driver to step out. Keep on the good work. You will no doubt recieve a donation from me in the near future!
