It's Los Santos... people get shot, people get run over, things catch fire... and it's usually all your fault. Eventually, you need to do something to keep nosy bystanders out of your business. Ever wished you could quickly close off a freeway so no cars can get by? Ever wanted to block off the scene of a dead body so that curious pedestrians couldn't tell who exactly shot them? Perhaps you just want to peacefully do some construction work, but oblivious drivers keep driving into your work zone. Or maybe you're fighting a fire, and need to stop rubberneckers from wandering into harm's way.

KNOWN ISSUE: The tape sometimes droops through the ground, especially when there is not much wind or with longer pieces of tape. User more barriers and shorter pieces of tape to help reduce this effect. This is due to the limitations of what cloth physics can do in zmodeler/GTA V. Version 2.0 adds static tape models which do not sag as an option. You can choose for each strand whether to use static or dynamic tape.

 

KNOWN ISSUE: If you are having issues with changing the keybindings in the INI not taking effect in the game, add a single blank line at the top of your INI file. 

 

KNOWN ISSUE: You may need to install a modified gameconfig.xml, depending on your version of GTA V. If you already have a modified gameconfig.xml to support add-on vehicles, you should be OK. If you haven't before and your game crashes on startup after installing Police Tape, you need to install a custom gameconfig. You can use the following LML package to install a compatible Gameconfig file:

Also what a stupid question. "what leads you to believe that this plugin is outdated?" Idk maybe the fact that it says "Updated December 6, 2020." Maybe because 65% of the comments are about the plugin NOT working...????? Maybe because I tried to use it myself and kept having issues even after troubleshooting(s)?????

December 6, 2020 was less than 4 months ago. Would it make you feel better if I released a new version that was the exact same (because it does still work) but with a new version number so you can feel better that it's been uPdAtEd? You have yet to articulate any actual issue with the plugin or produce any log file showing any sort of crash. It's literally impossible for a plugin like this to do anything whatsoever to your character model or hair. That's just not how it works. As for allegedly crashing after deleting tape, if that is happening, upload a log and I'll see if there's something going on. If you don't upload a log, then you're just whining. Based on how you think character model issues are caused by an entirely unrelated mod though, I suspect you've messed up all kinds of things with your game and are just grasping at straws to explain them. Try doing a clean installation of the game and things might work better for you. 

 

Regarding comments about the mod not working, of course people don't usually comment if everything is working fine, they only make a fuss if something is not working. As you can see the majority of people who've had issues installed the mod wrong, and got it working once they sorted that out.

    If this was true, why isn't RAGENativeUI outdated?

    Im having an issue where when i install or activte the police tape plugin in modmanager, my player is invisible. Ive tried everything i can think of. As soon as i uninstall or deactivate the plugin in modmanager by unchecking the box.... my player is visible again. Anybody share this same issue?

    This could be caused by having an old version of LML installed. Can you try installing the latest version from https://www.lcpdfr.com/lml/ and see if that helps?

    Buonasera prima avevo lml ma ho l'ho tolto come posso installare police tape v. 3?? Ho copiato la cartella dentro dlcpack e il file sulla cartella plugin ma quando lo avvio mi da errore che manca il file dlc... Come posso fare??

    Good morning I managed to install a dlc pack and not lml but I have a problem that to make it work I have to use Ragenativeui that is inside this download but when I put it then I crash lspdfr I do not understand why... If I use the old version I don’t want this is not lspdfr crash. Can you help me??if i not use this i have this error and not start policetape.

    What version of LSPDFR are you on? Can you upload RagePluginHook.log? You need the latest version (1.7) of RageNativeUI. If using that crashes LSPDFR, then you probably have an outdated plugin installed for LSPDFR.

    I have a problem. i installed it corectly, both the gta v folder and dlc pack. when i try open the menu (ctrl+h) but nothing happen. i have reinstalled it several times and inverted the trextyy in the dlclist.´any solutions?

    Mod does not appear to work. Have installed correctly, verified many times (watched multiple videos because I thought I was nuts) via the DLC route. Everything done to a T.

     

    However, the menu or any other function of the mod just refuses to, well, exist lol. I've even tried on a fresh install of GTAV/LSPDFR/OpenIV and the core requirements. Crtl+G does nothing, Ctrl+H, nothing. Changing keybinds = nothing, modifying the ini file for the known possible error and modifying keybinds does nothing, unfortunately. 

     

    No crashes/errors or any reference to the mod at all in logs, either. But I promise, I followed the DLC route to a T, and have even done it months ago (and it worked). I just needed to do it again because I had just recently come back to LSPDFR and... no luck 😞

    Did you install the plugin? You should have PoliceTape.dll in your Plugins folder. Did you load the plugin? You need to either set it to load automatically at startup or load it manually with the LoadPlugin console command in RPH.

    Hmmm... it might be something as simple as that, actually. Since I had reinstalled, I actually did forget whether everything was set to load automatically again. Will check

    Please post your questions in English in the future to ensure better support. I provide the latest version of RageNativeUI with this mod, which is required. If you are using other mods which require an old version, you should discuss that with the author of those other mods to encourage them to update to the latest version of RageNativeUI.

    Hello. I was wondering whether this plugin is going to get updated. When the tape goes through the floor its just so unrealistic and annoying. The static tape is also unrealistic. Or are you no longer updating this plugin?

    Those are the only two options, and it has nothing to do with the mod not being updated. That is what is possible in the GTA game engine. There is nothing I can do to make the tape not go through the floor. Literally impossible. Cannot be done. As explained in bright red text on the download page above. I could spend 40 hours a week updating this mod and that would never fix the limitations of what is possible in the game.
