there is not a similarly good female ped to convert, and I have no desire to do it! I bypass the problem in which I insert the male pad and then rename the files! s_m_y_cop makes you just s_f_y_cop on the search function above you get the position out where s_f_y_cop out. and you only have male ped in the same uniform. Or you change the backup xml into just male pads.

I cant get these to work for the life of me.  Its the same old cop, I load them in a trainer and nothing. Really bums me out as I live in chicago and cant get the peds to work

do you need help with the installation? do not understand exactly what you want, could you please express yourself clearly do not understand the phrases like "bums me out" because it is not my main language

lol sorry. I use albos mod dlc pack to install them. Even if I use the regular open iv like you show, the cop that is spawned is the regular lspd cop. Can I just change all the file names to something unique and load it in my trainer?

Yes, of course. in principle, you can use it to replace any ped in the game, if you know where you put it. if you install everything correctly, it is synonymous in albos mod dlc pack

I just renamed all files to s_m_y_chi_01 and nothing is found in the trainer search. I used your method and also used albos mod pack. Every other ped I have installed shows up just fine in search.

I do not use albos mod dlc pack myself, so I can not comment on that, but from the base my ped is suitable if everything is installed properly.

Even using your install method from your picture,  nothing shows up.  The chicago ped is the last thing I need to transform los santos into chicago.  I will keep trying.

my installation method is only for the city police so s_m_y_cop_01_
I know from albos dlc pack that you need to insert the file to the ped to tell the game what you've been uploading as it behave and should work so the meta, file
are they all renamed and right inside?

Following your method, what have I done wrong?

Yes edit mode was checked.  I have installed and changed dozens of peds and cars.  Yours is the only one that wont work for some reason.  I even have another version of Chicago ped installed but yours looks much better.

my way is the standard way for the pad, I do it myself and everyone else, you know, the first one where my way does not work so it can not be that it works. do you have a modified s_m_y_cop ped on patchday9ng.rpf? otherwise install it on the patchday9ng in the same way, if you have my ped properly installed then it should go.
But then you also need patchday9ng.rpf in the mods folder if you do not have it, then you find the ped with s_m_y_cop_01 with the search function

this is really strange actually it should work now, but sometimes put your problem in the forum under help maybe someone has an idea, I've done it again with me, my own file downloaded and installed normally and it worked

Woody1--Hope you were able to figure this out, I've been having the same issue.  Just found a post on another site about something like this, and I think it may be the solution.  IDK if its not allowed to post links to diff forums on here, but just google: "Modded Police Uniforms In OpenIV Not Showing Up: Everything Else Shows" --should give you the link I found.  Hope it helps.

I will be releasing the 1996  Ford Crown Victoria  and 1994 Chevy Caprice Chicago Police car

@Puschi999 Are you planning on doing a full blown Chicago Police EUP pack because that would look sick
