Reworked Taser Sound 1.1.0

(6 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Hello fellow LSPDFR players! Today I have decided to release a audio modification for the Stun Gun I have been keeping to myself for a month or so now. This is a file that contains 2 .wav audio files that replace the in game taser shooting sound along with the charging up sound, which in my version has been removed/replaced with a blank audio file to add more realism.

The following is a quick showcase video that demonstrates what my audio file will sound like once installed in your game.

ENJOY!

What's New in Version 1.1.0

Released

Changed the sound file name, allowing this mod to work on the newest GTA V version.

Thanks dude! There are other ones out there, but I really didn't like hearing it allot. I made this one so I could have a extremely realistic sound that I would enjoy hearing allot. Glad others have the same thoughts :)

The real taser sound is 5 seconds long.

This isn't by any chance the taser sound I gave you, which you said you would convert to GTA, and give me "proper" credit?

Negative sir. This is the original video it was clipped from along with allot of audio cuts and pastes done by myself. Your video is below the original video I made my edits from and you can easily see the difference in audio.

Yes, that is correct. The reason I did not change the charge sound to also be the "shock" sound is because there is an extreme change in audio volume. I increased the audio files volume for the "CHARGE" sound file and It never changed the volume at all. Eventually I may add the 5 second version for people who don't mind the volume change, but I made this for myself before i released it months later and my preference was to not have a drastic volume change.

The difference is the audio volume and the clarity of the audio which is the initial deploy sound (sounds like a low pitched gunshot) and the electric volt sound (the repetitive zapping sound). I increased the audio of mine a ton along with hours of custom audio clipping to make sure there was no low volume spots or any "nicks" in the audio itself since it is very hard for camera microphones to pick up such a repetitive sound at the frequency that it plays.

What you could do is delete the recharge sound (to make space), and make the initial fire sound 5 seconds long.

Good point, I may attempt this when I am not working on the other current project. Everyone needs another mind to help them sometimes, so I appreciate the genius thought because I probably wouldn't have thought about that. Thanks for the feedback!

Any sound file can be used in FiveM if it gets installed correctly. Make sure you watch videos on how to install things for FiveM so you dont ruin your game.

I had the same problem @EliteOnThePC In this download are 2 .wav files Charge and 0x1178999f. After you extract them from the download change the name of 0x1178999f to GTA5_GUN_STUN1 and then follow the directions in the download just as you normally would have. That fixed it for me hopefully it works for you.

@Manashirov listed a fix on another page:

You need to rename "0x1178999F.wav" to "GTA5_GUN_STUN1.wav" before you replace the files and import them. This will make the deploy/fire sound work again. I think one of the updates changed the file structure for the stun gun.

I need help, I tried getting it to work and I know my whole folder is muted, I would love to know the capacity from the new update, I have 19,037 KB in my weapons.awc folder, and it still wont work, I tried other sounds but it keeps getting muted, so I would love to know how much I shouldn't exceed on it.

You may have installed the sound mod incorrectly. Do you have a backup of the original sound files? If you have those then you can just revert your weapons.awc/taser sound WAV's by using the install instructions included in the file. Follow the instructions as if you were installing the sound mod, but use the original GTA V taser sounds instead of my mod. If you don't have a backup, you can try another taser sound mod and see if that gets it to work, or you will have to verify your game cache (if your using the Steam version). If using another taser sound mod works, then that would suggest my mod could be an issue, however if you also replaced other sounds then those could be the culprit as well.
