Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

My game is updatet, it just crashes everytime i wanna use it with ELS because the advancehookv isnt updated

well it works sometimes, after 15-60 minutes it still crashes

I had issues with els until I downloaded the advanced scripthook which is downloadable from this mod and mine now work well. You may already have the script, I'm not sure but I skipped it on my first go around getting els. 

Edit- If that don't work, maybe you have a plugin that conflicts with els

Hmm. Weird. Have you tried maybe a fresh download? Try deleting all els related content and reinstalling? My els ini got corrupt and crashed my game and had to reinstall ELS and Advanced script hook. If that don't work go to OpenIV and turn of ASI loader, restart PC, and turn ASI Loader back on with the 2 other counterparts under it if not already downloaded. I fixed mine doing this as well

DLS could be an issue since it is a different lighting system. Try removing dls and using els. I think some vehicles work with els or dls but I don't think els and dls go together.

Yeah DLS is for non-ELS vehicles so if you want ELS vehicles. remove DLS. Should fix it.

they work fine together, els was working fine last week then randomly decided to crash and other people are having the same issue so i think caine needs to look into it and update it

I've had no issue with ELS crashing other than when I forgot to get advanced script but perhaps there is an update issue, I'm not certain. I'm just giving some ideas.

so i FINALLY got it to work, had to start the game through steam then started ragehook after loading the game

no it still wont work if you load rage hook so it still needs to be updated by caine

Hmm. Weird. I've been changing out els vehicles and els xml all night and morning and game runs fine with rage hook and it loads all my additional pluggins. I suppose you may either have to wait for an update or do some digging. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help. The two fixes I gave fixed mine so I don't have anything else I can provide to fix your issue. Hope you get it solved soon or the mod gets updated if that's needed

apparently it was ragehook not set to load all plugins at launch, it was set to default for some reason so now els and dls works fine....what a head ache

Did you forget to include the els  files? btw i used the updated advancehook. it crashed lspdfr says ELS thew a exception. and no, I'm not using 3258.  I'm using a far older vers because of  I can't use manual transmission after the chop shop update.

    A couple of days ago I started experiencing difficulties with this mod. The game started to close when loading, you delete this mod - everything is fine. It looks like this mod still requires an update for 3274. (I tried it on a clean game)
