Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released June 28, 20241 yr

Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

scanning though lights can be achieved by scrolling through all the patterns until you reach one called SCAN, this is the pattern right before 000

are you sure that advancedhookv.dll fixed it? because i already have that in my folder

I'm not positive it'd fix this issue. A week or two ago I had an issue where ELS worked, but the lights on cars didn't. This .dll was the culprit. It randomly was removed from my directory.

Hi, I have a problem with my ELS lights. They are very dull and look white with only a hint of the colors its supposed to be. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have VisualV, RadianceV and have tried everything that has already been posted in the comments.

No ELS don't have anything to do with that, if not for the Lightbar color or reflections. It's all in the order of things, whenever you apply graphic mods or any mod that touches graphic settings... make sure you install or reinstall MAKE VISUAL GREAT AGIAN 2.0 last! Just remember to apply your taxi light fix and no motion blur again. Adding VisualV and or RadianceV last, will cause that problem.

That didn't work. I can see the lights properly how they should be when im in the pause menu of GTA, bit when I am actually playing the lights go dim and dull again.

Remove VisualV and or RadianceV and use only MAKE VISUALS GREAT AGAIN 2.0... and like I ALWAYS say. It has two work.

Since ELS stopped working completely out of the blue one day (happened on a fully updated GTA V, Ragehook, Scripthook, ELS, OpenIV, etc., etc, w/ no additions of scripts, plugins or other OpenV changes...one day ELS worked, one day it didn't). A full system restart worked for me too! Unbelievable, after having tried and verified everything it could possibly be, checking scripts and files in OpenV.....including up to a full clean reinstall of GTA V, with no success getting ELS to work properly again....and come to find out, simple restart and everything works just as it did....

Are the Toggle cruise lights supposed to look like this? They are not fully lit up. Is this a problem with ELS or the vehicle VCF? Thanks in advance.

Its how the lighting was set up for that vehicle.

Cruise lights are not typically even that many lights... you might be able to change it in the ELS .xml file.

I do not know if you can change it using the VCF. Might be part of the cars ELS setup using Zmodeler.

How would one go about changing the VCF to have different siren tones for each car?? I hate how my ambulance siren is the same as my police cars.

check your vcf files, make sure you have script hook v, and make sure your els is not locked (scroll lock=default)
