Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to  your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

 

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

 

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

 

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and  AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

 

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released

  • Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
  • Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
  • Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
  • Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
  • Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
  • Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
  • ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

 

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

I noticed on Non ELS vehicles that if you select the component and then fix vehicle through the trainer it will load the component but you have to try to remember what component is in what slot. I took all the ELS files out of my game and was able to cycle components again so I know that it is something in the ELS files, I just haven't been able to figure out what it is.

If you use the components you can see the lights flash on each component slot. So im thinking ELS uses the component slots for some of the options. Like steady burn, traffic advisory, and takedowns

By the way you have the remap the ELS buttons in ini file. Replace the following lines in the ELS.ini and you can have Q for lights and E for siren.

That's kind of what I am thinking. I guess for now that there are no removable components with ELS. I guess I am going to have to create an ELS version and a Regular version of the game so I can still use all of Bugs other vehicles that are not ELS.

i tried bx buggs cvpi a while back, but my police 1 car is the santa monica car and that doesn't work either

Both of those models don't have extra components.

They are fine cars. I prefer no extra components, but I personally like all of Hiim1250's models (or mine).

That is a completely different issue. That means you missed installing something. Do you have scripthook involved?

EVERYTHING is installed corecttly and how the creators want it and the stuff still aint workin

I haven't added all of the ELS vehicles. I still have some of Bugs non ELS cars in other slots.

Nahhh don't think your installation is right. Drop the files in the ELS  Gran Theft Auto V folder in the Main GTA 5 folder again. This will have only one ELS slot mainly the POLICE. Use the CVPI ELS in the link I sent you. Test first then continue adding cars xml files... it has to work!!!

And there is no need to add ELS for cars you are not driving. It's not made for police Ai no matter what anyone tells you. So try to keep it simple. I made a ELS slot for the POLICE2 and they would arrive with strange warring tones instead of the comon yelp we are used to. So ELS for me only, I made a firetruck xml cause I downloaded a ELS firetruck but mehhh. And I had the same no light or siren issue cause I forgot to make the ELS firetruk.xml file, just copy and rename police one provided.

Just a heads up to other users who have been having an issue getting the panel to open, go to folder that contains your exe and double check that els.asi is in that folder. My virus software removed it automatically and I must have missed the notification. Putting that file back fixed the problem for me.

Hey, hate to be a nuisance but this doesn't seem to work for me. I'm using an ELS configured car, and have the ELS config files in the correct folders (the pack_default VCF that came with ELS) and have made sure the admin setting has default selected. However, when i go in game, and press control P, nothing happens. I don't have P bound to pause menu, and oddly enough when I press F like i would do before having ELS installed I can still hear the sirens.

    Do you have Siren Mastery? Try disabling it in the rage menu, what other mods do you have?
