Just to ensure I post this here. This works perfectly with ELS with the latest information package. Very Impressed.

Do you need Siren Mastery for this to work?

I'm having an issue. Whenever I try to put these sirens into my game (ELS) it mutes the sound of all sirens... Not sure why though, or where I'm going wrong. What I'm doing...

1. Following ReadMe's instructions about the Police.xml

2. Using OpenIV, extracting the Vehicles.oac

3. Renaming the files in your mod, to the correct file names in the .oac (which took me forever to find lol)

4. Using OpenIV, importing new Vehicles.oac

5. Muted siren audio

There is a hard limit on in-game sirens not loaded through an external plugin (like SirenMastery with its custom sirens folder). Inserting sirens directly into the game through the .oac method will work fine until the file hits 15.7MB, at which point the game arbitrarily decides it's too big and mutes all the audio. You need to change up your sirens so that you skirt below the 15.7MB limit. Another suggestion I heard was to find the audio file that the train makes at railroad crossings on the tracks which is apparently a huge file that is safe to remove. While you lose the train crossing sound, the benefit of having custom sirens on more vehicles is likely worth it

Ah thanks, any idea which file the Train Crossing one is?

EDIT: Scratch that. Got it now. Files are  0x1AE3EF45 and 0x017E9AF5D

I should mention for anyone who would like to do the same. You CANNOT delete those audio files. You must replace them with blank audio. For this, I just used the "American Siren Pack" blank files.

Aren't all sirens els compatible?

I want to add specific sets of sirens so the AI will actually use these sirens.

GTA V > x64 > Audio > SFX > resident.rpf > vehicles.awc - The only problem is I don't know the name of what files are the actual sirens that need to be replace. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be appreciated.

This comes directly from the readme within American Siren Pack v8.0.5

AMERICAN SIREN PACK DEFAULT SIREN TONES
CURRENT VERSION : V 8.0.5 3/28/2016

THE FOLLOWING LIST SHOWS WHAT SIRENS ARE CURRENTLY INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLE FOLDER. IF YOU WISH TO RENAME ANY OTHER TONES, USE THIS DICTIONARY.

0x0EA58C7C - Generic Bullhorn  -  CODE 3 MASTERCOM B SIREN * UPDATED *
0x013F5FE7 - PoliceB Main   - Motorcyle Siren Whelen WS320E
0x17DDFB5C - PoliceB Secondary - Motorcyle Siren Whelen WS320
0x0A8960B6 - FIB Primary - Whelen Whelen 295SLASA6 * UPDATED *
0x0A49B203 - FIB Secondary - Whelen Whelen 295SLASA6* UPDATED *
0x0D329446 - Police Primary - CODE 3 MASTERCOM B SIREN * UPDATED *
SIREN_2 - Police Secondary -  CODE 3 MASTERCOM B SIREN * UPDATED *
POLICE_WARNING -  CODE 3 MASTERCOM B SIREN * UPDATED *
0x0E0DA7BC - Granger Primary - FEDERAL SIGNAL SMART SIREN * UPDATED *
0x16E74B3E - Granger Secondary - FEDERAL SIGNAL SMART SIREN * UPDATED *
0x1C98C4D5 - Ambulance Primary - SVP SA-441 Magnum dual siren * UPDATED *
0x144C8602 - Ambulance Secondary - SVP SA-441 Magnum dual siren * UPDATED *
AMBULANCE_WARNING - N/A
0x037CC595- Fire Horn - GROVER AIR HORN
0x159C9182 - Fire Primary - MOTOROLA ASTRO SPECTRA
0x161768E7 - Fire Secondary - MOTOROLA ASTRO SPECTRA

This should help you.  Ignore what siren is being used and pay more attention to the file name associated with that particular vehicle.  Also, make sure that your vehicles.oac file does not go over 15.7 mb, otherwise your game audio will be muted.

How is it ELS compatible when you still need to use Siren Mastery..........

It can be used alongside ELS with SirenMastery. SirenMastery has better functions and capability to use more siren tones than ELS does.

@crazytaxi1000 not sure why you put ELS compatible in the name since the only way to make it work with els is to manually change siren names to the default game sound files. Techniklly it is compatible with ELS, but it would require people to change the file names and since there are allot of new people, they may just drag the files into there game without renaming.

That wouldn't work. The volume would be extremely quiet if you were to just re-name to put it in game. You need SirenMastery to run it alongside with ELS.

Is there any way to use this pack without Siren Mastery?

I may be a noob, but your files are huge, compress them more so they actually work as replacements for ELS... I can't even add 1 siren before I overflow on KBs...

I am using the tomar 940 siren but in game it isn't as loud as it should be. Could that be because i am using it in ELS and is there a way to make it louder?

So it is only the volume it should be if you use sirenmastery? because i put them in ELS and it is quiet.

I recommend using the Volume Maximizer feature.

How do you install all of the sirens do you just download all of the files and if you need to download files what files.

There are some amazing siren tones in here - being able to pick and choose, essentially building the perfect siren!

Considering it's been a few years and some new sirens have come out, have you considered doing any updates? I'm thinking especially of the Fed Sig Pathfinder

How do you get the SirenMastery sirens to work with ELS? I have both installed but when I activate the siren it still plays the ELS siren over the SirenMastery one.
